Mercurio's sword detail

Although I planned to make him primarely use his fists while fighting, I figured a heavy sword would be a great weapon for him. At first I started sketching a pretty conventional sword but I wasn't entirely convinced; I wanted to make a design that looked more... primal (?) It kind of resembles a maul actually. I think it suits his design better than what I originaly had in mind!
Extra info: Mercurio is left-handed. Although he was originaly right-handed, he had to learn to use his other hand after loosing his right arm (more lore about this is under developement XD). Even after obtaining his prosthesis he continued to use his left hand.
He never fully got used to his artificial arm and doesn't use it as much.

Difficulty to let go of the past or look forward for the future? Anyway his sword looks quite intimidating and could be a représentation of all his repressed anger/frustration. I would not mess with him haha
