YouTube, LLMs, Intermediate 3...
Added 2024-12-29 18:45:12 +0000 UTCHey everyone, here is a short summary of all the things I've been working on recently:
A new YouTube video with hints to practice listening comprehension. This is not completed yet, but will be what I focus on now.
Checking out what LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT) can do for the project:
Ok-ish for grammar explanations, but only if the grammar is very common and obvious. Mistakes are likely otherwise (but the grammar part is mostly complete anyways).
Very good for quickly summarizing the true context of a sentence, which is fantastic. This used to take me so much time that it was infeasible for all cards.
Summarizing videos to quickly filter boring stuff.
Proofreading & error correction
Intermediate 3 / part 1: This was supposed to be my November project. I spent 1 hour/day on this, but the second half of the month was so busy that I had to shift focus a bit.
Regarding LLMs, there is more to explore. I hope they will help in revising the card format for all decks. This is something I wanted to do, but never started due to the sheer amount of time it would take. Adding the card-specific feedback I get in a semi-automatic way would also be helpful, but first things first...

I'm happy to read that the deck kept you going! You can continue with intermediate 1 right after the beginner's course. There is no gap to bridge, it is built directly on top of it.

Is it recommend to Just directly start with Number 1 after the beginner course. Or do you think it is better to Just try reading or whatever first and then coming back to the Intermediate and focus on learning.
