Earlier this week, a Conservative Christian censorship lobbying group known as Collective Shout sent an open letter to Visa/MasterCard accusing them of essentially "Think of the children!" arguments which led to the payment processor pressuring Steam & Itch.io into removing or outright delisting all their adult games.
Collective Shout, led by M. Tankard-Reist, is known for astroturfing and hiding their affiliation to anti-abortion, homophobic, and transphobic hate groups. They have previously attempted to ban GTA V & Detroit: Become Human.
So now, you can no longer search for games like Passionate Hex directly on the itch.io store page. At the moment, the game is only hosted here on Patreon & on my Discord Server.
But since this is coming by way of the payment processor and is not unique to Steam- there's no way of knowing whether or not they will crack down on Patreon next. So I heavily advise you to join my Discord Server in order to follow updates on the game.
