The Hex alpha will be released to patrons on Thursday.
Added 2023-06-27 10:53:20 +0000 UTCThe Hex alpha demo will be distributed in the same manner as the patron edition of Succubus Stories, that is, through Itch.io. You will need to connect your Itch.io account to your patreon account and claim a key to access the alpha.
Since this gives patrons who stop supporting in June only two (ish) days to claim their keys, if you for some reason can't claim a key in time, please send me a message on Patreon. After confirming you were in fact a patron in June 2023, I will send you a key. After the alpha is released publicly, I will stop doing this, though.
I ask that you keep the alpha game files confidential, though I don't have any problem with you sharing screenshots or discussing the game with non-patrons, I just don't want game files to be distributed. Not that I could stop you from doing so anyway :P
There are bug report forms and feedback forms linked to from within the game. Please fill out the feedback form after you complete the demo. I also encourage you to provide feedback directly if you have any! You can message me on patreon, comment here on this post (or on any Hex-related post), message me directly on discord (@outsiderartisan) or Twitter, tweet at me, chat on the discord server, comment on the game's Itch.io page, etc. I'm not picky, so use whatever seems best to you!
Keep in mind that this is an alpha, and is missing features and content. Particularly, much of the text is still rough, and a lot of it is even lifted from Succubus Stories (this content will eventually be replaced). Some assets, animations, and visual effects are also non-final.
