Strange school of magic that summons and controls plants to deal physical damage. Has high MP costs, but boasts high burst damage, can buff physical damage, and offers emergency healing. Pairs well with black magic for consistency and aura management, and with sky magic to offset the high MP costs.
Thorn lash: Deals light physical damage and inflicts up to 15 wound stacks on the target. The number of wounds inflicted is increased based on how few wounds the target has when the spell is cast. Will inflict a minimum of 3 wound stacks. Base MP Cost: 103
Raking thorns: Deals moderate physical damage. Removes all wound stacks from the target, and adds a number of thorn-pierced stacks equal to half the number of wound stacks removed. If the target has more wound stacks than thorn-pierced stacks when this spell is cast, the number of thorn-pierced stacks gained from the conversion is increased by 50%. Base MP Cost: 143
Blood blossom: Deals heavy physical damage with a bonus based on the number of thorn-pierced stacks on the target. This spell has an increased chance to trigger the bloom effect on targets with the thorn-pierced aura. If the spell fails to trigger a bloom effect, the target is instead inflicted with 9 wound stacks. Base MP Cost: 176
Increases physical damage taken by the target. When the target takes physical damage, there is a chance for the thorns to bloom, dealing a large amount of physical damage and inflicting a number of wounds while removing all thorn-pierced stacks. The odds of the thorns blooming, the damage they deal, and the number of wounds inflicted are all proportional to the number of thorn-pierced stacks.
Rank 1: When HP is below half, triggering the blooming effect of the thorn-pierced aura will heal the caster for an amount of HP proportional to the damage inflicted.
Rank 2: Increased chance for thorns to bloom when an enemy inflicted with the thorn-pierced aura takes physical damage.
Rank 3: Physical damage and wound stacks inflicted by the thorn-pierced aura's blooming effect are increased.
