Added 2025-07-08 07:17:29 +0000 UTCYou can play the free web version on Newgrounds, and it runs reasonably well over there. Of course, with Itch down, there's no way to retrieve your game saves unless you've already used the "save to disk" feature (which I do recommend doing periodically).
As far as the silver, gold, and windows versions, I'm not sure what exactly I want to do. I am very dependent on Itch not just for hosting the game on the web, but also for handling the distribution to patrons. It's something I'll have to think about, as Itch has been getting less and less reliable. It's gone down more times in the last few months than in the last several years prior to that...
Most other storefronts like GoG and Steam either lack good Patreon integration, aren't really ideal for ongoing development, or both.

based on some minimal testing and research, this would require more work than I'm willing to do at this time, and the offline browser versions would definitely not work anymore

That would mean an Internet connection would be required for patrons to play the silver/gold editions, though, even in the downloaded versions. And I'm not sure the offline browser version would work at all

2025-07-08 10:06:49 +0000 UTCSeems like something is up. I've used Itch since 2020 and it's maybe had one or two outages or other problems. Since about February, it feels like it's gone down several times, and my analytics also have weird anomalies, like being frozen for a day.
