Planning for the future

I've always focused on Itch as my primary platform, and now that's looking kinda like a stupid idea. We have really good engagement on Itch, but not super good elsewhere. So one plan I have is to try to focus more on those other places.

If you can, it'd be really awesome if any of you here could review Hex on F95Zone. I also monitor that place, so any questions or comments you'd normally leave on Itch might be better over there for now. I'd still recommend getting game client's from Itch though.

Newgrounds is also a platform I plan to use more. So if you play the free web version, that might be a better place for now. I have plans to self-host the web gold and silver editions in the future but that's still in a very experimental stage right now.

I do not feel like Hex is ready for Steam and I also don't like the way pre-release works there. On top of that, Steam is also purging adult content right now. That said, it's a good back up plan for me that I can use to keep the game relevant and in front of people.

No matter what happens, as long as Patreon doesn't pull the plug, we'll be okay, and we do have a lot of options still. There are devs in a far worse way than I am, and my heart really goes out to them. I'll try to plug some of their content here in the future, but a lot of these guys are already off of Patreon, so I have to be careful about how I do it.

And look, maybe you're thinking, the stuff that got banned, at least some of it is gross or its too far or too extreme. And maybe it is, but it's not illegal, right? We have to remember that if people want to ban things, they should have to pass laws. Otherwise, what the fuck are credit card companies doing telling us what we can and can't buy? And to someone, like these Collective Shout freaks, I'm sure my games are gross and too far too. I'm sure girls kissing would be "grooming" to these lunatics.
