Some ideas and concepts for the mid-term future of Hex

Here are some things that are coming to Hex in the future. Big new ideas require some time to implement, so these are for the "mid-term" future, which means roughly over the next year or so. These aren't all the things I have planned, they're just an assorted set of some more major things I'm planning.

Most of these I have at least mentioned before in one place or another, so you might be aware of at least a few of them!

Impregnation, birth, and spirit management

Iris will be able to conceive and give birth to “spirit kin” which will be like little fairies that she keeps in the throne realm. Spirit kin will grant Iris various (minor but noticeable) stat bonuses and you will be able to feed them and play with them to level them up. They will come in a few different types, colors, and ranks, and what you get will be based on a few factors, and will ultimately work kinda like a simple gacha. I am considering implementing something sort of like set bonuses for a little extra strategy in how you set them up, but I'm not committed to that.

You'll only be able to have a few active at a time (I'm trying to decide between 3 and 5), as well as keeping some in reserve, but there will be limits. I will probably make it so that deleted spirit kin get put up for adoption by other players, and if that happens, you'll get rewards. If you don't like the pregnancy and birth content, you can just adopt some of them from other players (eventually). I know pregnancy isn't for everyone, but in the short term, you probably will have to wait a few updates until you can recruit spirits without going through the pregnancy and birth process.

You will not be able to lewd the spirits.

This system will be rolled out in a few phases, starting in v0.2, but it will probably take a long time for all the pieces to completely come together.

Futanari spells

You'll be able to turn yourself (and later other women) into futanari. Some percentage of women in the world will also be naturally-occurring futas at some point in the future, though this will be based on a game setting for anyone that wants to turn it off.

Iris will be able to freely switch between forms at any time after acquiring the skill for this, but certain types of activities will automatically put her in one form or the other. And yes you'll be able to put a dick on Meila but she can easily dispel it, so actually getting her to do anything with it will require long-term “convincing.”

Futanari sex will be handled similar to SS, in that you having penetrative futa sex with women will be handled by an encounter, but most other interactions will occur instead as bespoke scenes. Futa content will be rolled out over time and eventually there will the futa versions of many activities, like urination, streaking, or masturbation.

Futanari content will be a while yet.

Real-time minigames

I plan to experiment with and “real-time” minigames where you press buttons (on the keyboard or on the screen) that allow you to interact with special activities.

For example, imagine a gloryhole minigame where you press the button to go down, and release it to come up, and the goal is to manage your own comfort level while getting off as many fellas as you can. Or a similar minigame where you can press a button to flash, and release to cover up, and you have to score a certain number of points in a limited time without being seen by NPCs that will occasionally turn toward you. These minigames will only include rudimentary animation (if any), but I think they'll be fun. Instead of just making a simple variant of existing encounters, like how a gloryhole activity could just be a variant of the blowjob encounter type, I want to create something with a different feel and different goals.

That said, if it's not fun or doesn't work well, or just doesn't run well, I will scrap this, so unlike the other things on this list, there is some chance that this won't come to fruition, so be warned of that.

The earliest I plan to start testing these out is during the v0.3.0 update cycle.

Future encounter types

I plan to make some fun new encounter types too. The encounter system in Hex is much more robust and modular, so it's not hard to make some things encounter types that would have been activities in SS. Some of the ones I have planned for sooner rather than later:

Of course, I'm actively developing other ideas as well, but these are the ones I'm working toward now.

I think one of these may make it into v0.2, but if not, v0.3 for sure.
