Dramatic Reading From Etaski's Sister Seekers 4: Surfacing

TLDR: I helped to edit and produce a dramatic reading for a portion of a book written by A.S. Etaski. It is 20 minutes long and features the meeting of two different elves from two very different societies. Conflict ensues! The link will be sent to BB Tier members shortly as an early release.

So, some background. Etaski and my buddy Gazukull go way back and Etaski did me a solid on the writing side when I put together Tessa's Gambit, something of a romance novel spoof. In return, I wanted to do something for them, so a dramatic reading for one of their many books was in order.

We've been working on this on and off for the better part of two years. That is my bad, and the delay was caused in some part by mission creep. I thought about making it a full on audio play, but the more sound effects you add (tentacle vines, falcon screeches, etc), the harder it is to soak in the dialogue, not to mention the added workload. In the end it was better to strip things back a bit and focus on the words as written, as well as the character performances.

For her part Etaski put in a ton of work on this as well, adapting her words for audio and spending time on line selection and editing once the raw audio from the VAs came in. Special mention must also go to Dorn and Iris Harman, both of whom did a fantastic job bringing Etaski's characters to life.
