Nice. I thought I was buggin when I said this feels like its connected to Armageddon. As soon as I saw Getter wearing a cape all I could think of is Armageddon Ryoma.

2025-04-16 16:25:53 +0000 UTCSo Benkei's turn is taken from Gai in the Getter Robo Go manga who after piloting the Shin Getter once tried to destroy it and was absorbed by the Getter. Those four monsters are Jikokuten, Zhochouten, Komokuten, and Tamonten the 4 Devas or 4 Heavenly Kings of Buddhism and were trying to stop the evolution of the Getter Emperor which is the Getter made into a God that absorbs all in it's path and never stops growing and evolving. The white Getters are the same ones from the first episode and are just prototypes which were moving due to the Getter Rays taking over the robots. The massive Getter that crushed Tamonten is this show's version of the Getter Emperor which had crossed through universes to kill Tamonten and the one talking to Ryoma after he blasted away from Hayato and Benkei is Ryoma from Armageddon, calling out to the new Ryoma to join them which is what happens since at the end Ryoma is in Getter Valhalla fighting off enemies of the Emperor just like how the Armageddon team was seen doing meaning that this Ryoma has fallen under the control of the Getter Emperor. This show is a one off and was more of a love letter to the series in it's entirety given how many references it has to all five manga that Ishikawa wrote and drew.
