I didn't go quite so detailed with the backgrounds on this one as I did with my Embers comic because the environment played a big part in nailing down the atmosphere I wanted for Embers, whereas they weren't as important for the more playful tone I'm going for in Tide.
Also, a recent rewatch of Kill la Kill may have played a part in that 4th panel looking the way it does π€£ Call it my little tribute to Trigger's bonkers animation style.
