I'm wasn't happy about it either, it's a personal failure to miss a deadline like that, especially since I have been successfully keeping the schedule for a while now. But it's better this way - releasing an unedited chapter would be a really bad idea. I get enough complains about my poor grammar as it is. Thanks for the vote of support, premature as it may be.

Yeah, posting a chapter that I was personally unhappy with and that has not gone through any editing on top of that would have been a mistake. Better to make my audience wait a little. Thanks for understanding.

Thanks. I've been kind of surprised how supportive my readers have been in regards to missing this deadline. I guess I'm kind of cynical since I expected everyone to pile up on me in the comments, ha ha. Anyway, even though missing a deadline like this is something of a personal failure, I'm ultimately glad I did it. The chapter is better for it.

I somehow doubt that the the amount of money I get per chapter would stay the same if I released 4 chapters a month. It's likely that people would scale down their pledges to compensate, as that's not the level of financial drain they signed up for. And that's fine, really - if I ever get that prolific with my writing, I'll just switch to monthly payments rather than per chapter to be fair to people. And honestly, even if I could get enough money from patreon to quite my day job, I'd be extremely reluctant to, for reasons that I don't want to get into.

Aren't you making enough to quit your day job yet? $411/chapter and increasing every day. If you went fulltime you could release 3 or 4 a month.

You have my respect for polishing it and not pushing a inferior chapter just to make the deadline.

Mmmm, ok :( One day isn't much, especially with school being off for me tomorrow. My guess is that the chapter's plot is more complicated / the chapter is longer. Either that or you were busy, which sucks. How about a premature thanks for what's going to be an awesome chapter. :)
