Beach Bikini - Work in ProgressION?
Added 2024-07-12 19:25:37 +0000 UTCHad the night off and an inkling to do another "quick doodle" so figured I'd show the WIP buuut thought it might be more informative or whatever if I gave the new full workflow of how I've been working on the past couple pieces.
1. Grab a camera stand and approximate pieces for a photo reference
2. Sketch out in sketchbook because I tend to work more fast and loose in that format
3. Refine digitally, a couple times
4. Roughly paint out the background
5. Roughly feel out the shading and background color influence on the character

6. Flat colors with hue tweaks to fit background
7. Refine background and shading
8. Value/hue refinements and enhancements
Please let me know if you guys want to see more of this more thorough work progression! Also sorry about the irl photo, it's not exactly meant to be flattering and any compromising photos in the future would be censored. I know not everyone might want to see irl stuff tho so please let me know if you don't want to see that part!!

Ye! It's fun how, even if I deviate a lot from the photo reference, there's still a lot of inspiration to be found in the shading and fabric folds
