Ngl nothing wrong with the first pose and genuinely would like how that looks in a different setting but half way realised that it doesn’t really allow the hand reaching his chin in a natural manner the way I was envisioning which was a very important important part of the piece, as well as realising how much changing up the angles to push his body language can benefit both the composition as well as being us closer to the vision.
Sometimes you gotta prioritise the vision as much as you ability allows or even if it means scrapping something you didn’t necessary disliked. I’ll keep the previous sketch for something else one day coz I’m a nasty little hoarder🥹🥹
