Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for "Charlie Wilson's War" which will premiere shortly on YT!
Well the taliban was created in 1994 and soviet force withdrew from Afghanistan in 1988-1989
We sided with and trained what’s come to be known as the northern alliance.
And the norther alliance are enemies of taliban and Al Qaeda.
Problem was that it’s coming for Afghanistan but one we leave that weaponry and training is left behind, and with people swapping allegiance. Taliban benefit highly from this.
And now after the disastrous withdrawal in 2021
The same happened twice now with even more modern weapons.
I appreciate you using the word “indirectly” when you said we helped the Taliban, most people just we “we supported and funded the Taliban. With conspiracy notes

Gets a tad repetitive over the seasons, but all in all a very charming show and cast. Well-deserved awards. There's some other good ones on Apple TV as well.

I don't care for this movie much but I do love Philip Seymour Hoffman and I enjoyed watching you react to his performance. You guys have to get together and watch Magnolia soon - Hoffman and Cruise on peak form!

And as it alludes to, the not dealing with the humanitarian issues is how we indirectly created the Taliban.

I really love this movie, delivers a pretty serious topic in a very fun manner. And I often think about that zen master when major events happen "We'll see."

I really like this movie. Not so much for the topic, but for the acting, the cast, and the snappy dialogue. I did a deep dive on the internet looking up some of these real life people and events are rearranged slightly, but it's pretty much how it happened. Basically, the US messing up the end game is what led to where we are today. It's so sad they couldn't have had some foresight and done it right. Very good reaction

“We will forsake our countries. We will leave our motherlands behind us and become one with this earth. We have no nation, no philosophy, no ideology. We go where we're needed, fighting, not for government, but for ourselves. We need no reason to fight. We fight because we are needed. We will be the deterrent for those with no other recourse. We are soldiers without borders, our purpose defined by the era we live in. We will sometimes have to sell ourselves and services. If the times demand it, we'll be revolutionaries, criminals, terrorists. And yes, we may all be headed straight to hell. But what better place for us than this? It's our only home. Our heaven and our hell. This is Outer Heaven.” -Big Boss

Meanwhile, Big Boss is sneaking around 1984 Afghanistan, listening to Kids in America while using the Fulton recovery system to capture Soviet soldiers, bringing them back to his PMC (Private Military Company) for recruitment.
Speaking of Metal Gear Solid, I highly recommend John Carpenter’s Escape from New York (1981). Kurt Russell as Snake Plissken is such an ironic role, and just one of my favourite Carpenter films.

I didn't think I'd like this movie as much as I did the first time I saw it. I'm so happy Cassie and Carrie reacted to this one!
