I'm one of those who doesn't like the theatre reactions - the main reason being that I'm here to see your reactions, and our ability to see you depends on how light or dark the screen is. In the bed, visibility is always clear. I'm not unmindful of Carly's discomfort when she's in the bed (Cassie must have the comfortable side), but if she finds the theatre chair comfortable, why not buy a second one, cut the legs off and put it on the bed? If that doesn't work (maybe because her legs are straight when on the bed), and IF the PiB bed is only used for PiB reactions, why not replace it with a single bed for Cassie to sit on, then put one of the theatre chairs next to it for Carly? Same comfort, but we can clearly see her at all times.

2025-07-23 15:35:18 +0000 UTCI am not smart enough either. :-) I was totally confused by the three (?) timelines in Dunkirk. That kind of ruined the experience for me. Or was it the way Nolan wanted to reproduce the chaos of it all? I really like the Manhattan Project part in Oppenheimer, but after that, I found myself looking at my watch a few times. Also, the (no mushroom) nuclear explosion was a little disappointing.

My son loved Inception when I took him to see Inception in the theater in 2010. As for me, I thought the movie slick but too convoluted for me – I am not smart enough. I will be curious how many YT views. Nolan content that I’ve seen and ranked by how much I liked it: 1. The Dark Knight Trilogy 2. Oppenheimer (2023) 3. Dunkirk (2017) 4. Memento (2000) 5. Inception (2010) 6. The Prestige (2006) [I like the acting.] Interstellar (2014) is on my watchlist.

Imagine what a visual director like Gore Verbinski could’ve done with this! And how do we share dreams? Would’ve been nice to see something beyond an oxygen mask and some IV lines.
