The night is dark and full of terrors.

Jackson Harper

It’s the last of the reactions this week. Probably get released later today or early morning, based on past releases.

Just Plain Bob

Has there been any mention about the girl with the dragon tattoo?

Chris

personal fav, “BAD-A-Money-Money”.

Uncle Phoenix

This is my favorite thing you’ve ever done on the channel and it’s not even close. But beware. Winter is coming.

Jackson Harper

"nations you’ve probably never heard of? ... Belgium ..." hehehehe

Mike Lemon

That's a little abuse of power.... lol!!!!

Now that you’re FAR more the history buff than you were when you started, J.R.R Martin, like Tolkien, HEAVILY infused their sagas, though fictionalized, with actual history. Let me break it down for you a bit. J.R.R. Martin’s educational background was what we’d call a Medievalist. He brought what he studied into his stories. So, in our Medieval history can you think of the largest, richest city in Europe? It’s a port city with water on, like, 3 sides and massive walls on the landward side. It’s hot in summers and mild in winters and its wealth was based, predominantly, on trade. It contained the largest, most elaborate church in the world that still stands today and, in the Middle Ages, the most extensive libraries of ancient texts in the world. Ring any historical bells for you? It’s Constantinople capital of the Eastern Roman Empire. That one is really obvious down to the city plan they show in the intro for King’s Landing. Constantinople remained unconquered until 1453 when the Turks showed up with gunpowder cannons. Winterfell, smaller, darker and the major outpost nearest to the Wall is a looser analogy for Medieval London. The Wall is an extremely loose version of Hadrian’s Wall that created a border between the more Romanized south of England and the fierce ‘wildlings’ that represent Picts, Scots with some Viking iconography thrown in. Hadrian’s Wall is a rather unsubstantial structure but the idea that it separated and protected the ‘civilized’ south from the barbarian north, though, is the main idea. Now, think, if you will, of the ‘Dothraki.’ Where in History are you introduced to a, I’ll give you a hint, horde of horse-borne warriors that turn their noses up at the idea of wearing armor but were, as King Robert just described them, unstoppable and unbeatable out in the open, had incredibly intimate relations with their horses, built no cities but conquered many? Again, fairly obvious, they’re Martin’s reimagining of the Mongols. You have and you will meet smaller kingdoms, each with their own quirks. By themselves somewhat irrelevant as far as producing a leader or being the nation that will rule all others but constantly being pressured to join one or the other major side as allies. The constant questions these smaller kingdoms face is ‘Which side to ally with? Which of these sides, if they do choose, will support their own independence when the dust settles and what are the costs and benefits each side offers and how trustworthy to uphold those benefits are each major side?” These represent the smaller nations/kingdoms of Europe. You know how, at the Olympics opening ceremonies, tiny contingents of athletes march in under flags you’ve never seen and nations you’ve probably never heard of? I’m talking your Lichtenstein, Andorra, Monaco, Belgium and the like…. Individually they’ll not control everything but, historically, the more powerful players ply them with gifts, want them to simply not let their enemies pass through their borders…. Well, that was certainly in play in Medieval Europe…. I will say this about GoT, the costuming and set design are so good that, before long, you won’t need to see a character or be given such an obvious clue as, say, the iron throne to start getting a sense of where you are.

3,000+ currently watching in the YT premier. The Golden Crown. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. "He was no dragon. Fire cannot kill a dragon." E6 outro: “It’s getting even better. And then there’s this whole other element. … like she touched the dragon egg. And the snow walkers. [T]here’s this whole other magic that I’m not sure how that’s going to play into the series, but I’m in guys. Hooked.”

It´s funny, how many Actors in GoT are in Movies, Cassie has watched on her channel - but are nearly unrecognizable. For example Julian Glover, Grandmeaster Pyrcell, he was in Indiana Jones and the last Crusade as Donovan, who drinks from the wrong Grail and he also was in Star Wars V - where he commands the AT-ATs on the assault of Hoth.

Rudi Brecht

Not if you move up a tier

Cole Jennett

Man. Now I gotta wait a whole other week for episodes 7 & 8.

Stan the Man

Lysa Arryn: "You don't fight with honor!" Bronn: "No [pause]. He did."

Clay F

"Wear it in silence, or I'll honor you again" is COLD.

Brent Petty

Why would you think anyone needs to know this information?

JoshGrobansDryMouth

love the way she tries to say the name Targaryen 😂

JL_83

Just FYI, it’s Rhymes with veer or ‘to shed a tear.’ Ned’s wife is KAT-lin not KATElyn. I suspect you’re already picking up the theme that, like winter, war is coming and the two major houses within the realm that are squaring off is the Starks and the Lannisters. Look at every interaction, every demand, every move by either side through the prism that you saw, for instance, the interaction between Ned & Jaime: “You’ve got my brother (Tyrion)! No matter how much WE (the Lannisters) may dislike him, we’ll wade through the blood of as many Starks as we have to to get him back!” It’s no less true, btw, the other way. It’ll help keep things straight in your mind. If the Starks kill a Lannister or, for that matter, even threaten to hold a trial in a court the Starks control, that’s a DIRECT threat to the Lannisters that DEMANDS revenge or, possibly, all out war and vice versa. There are characters on BOTH sides EAGER for that war and sooner rather than later. Other characters on both sides equally eager to avoid that war. You might as well get comfortable with that theme, it runs throughout the whole series.

Lamar Smith

yes, but they don't tell the whole story! I've given up on any more of those books ever being published

Walter

Khaleesi (Cassie), you are going to love this series. But I gotta say, the books are so much better. 🌹🥰🫶

Scott

Alfie….. Woodward? ‘Theon.’ EVERY one who watched GoT who saw your original John Wick reaction was, literally, ROFL when you threw out “He has a very punchable face!” when ‘Aurelio’ decked him in his shop. I suspect your opinion on that hasn’t changed? It seems that so long as Hollywood has a need for characters with a punchable face, Alfie will have a career.

Lamar Smith

Have you recognized that ‘Theon’ was played by the same actor that killed John Wick’s dog? Vigo’s son? Tyrion’s ‘confession’ is one of the best of a long list of fantastic scenes for him and many others.

Lamar Smith

I’m only interested in TGWTDT reaction.

Daniel N

33:50 Valerius Targyn-Onion 😂😂😂

Kevin Karst

Watched the full reaction here, the YT edit here, and will watch it on YT when available, whenever :)

Carlos

We need a book of Cassie-isms. They are gold.

Michael West
