[YT Edit] To Catch A Thief (1955)

Comments

Grace Kelly was the Princess of Monaco which is shown when they stop the car after racing through the hills. Also ironic is that she died driving through the same hills in the early 1980's.

This is a Hitchcock.mplease put it in the Hitchcock collection. Please!

Jay Perry

1.36 On the subject of Grace Kelly and Rear Window (1954), in a BBC Hitchcock documentary made in 1999, one retired crew member stated that "Every man who was lucky to work with Grace Kelly fell in love with her, me included! I'm sure even Hitchcock, nobody could be in her presence and not fall in love with her, such a lovely person!" at 6.24 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZE7Qc6NPet0

Did someone say Grace Kelly? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CGVgAYJyjk

Happy Hanukkah

Cassie seems to only like old movies starring Cary Grant, lol.

Joe J

I watched that series as a kid as it aired. I will always remember Robert Wagner that way.

Clay F

That'a a good one! PiB should definately watch it and also the James Stewart version of The Man Who Knew Too Much.

Kristian

I remember the Cindy Crawford quote from the 90s: "Even I don't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford."

Clarence Newman

Looking forward to watching this one. I remember enjoying it when I watched before, and it's a nice little treat in my long PiB movie drought. (I'm not complaining, though. By the sound of it, I'm about to get buried in great films!) Oh, and also....Grace Kelly.

Clarence Newman

Cary Grant: "Everyone wants to be Cary Grant - even I want to be Cary Grant."

Happy Hanukkah

Born Archibald Leach.

The members of the kitchen staff was in the resistance to the Germans with Cary. After the war they were paroled and if Cary was caught doing more crimes they thought the police would put all of them back in jail. Great writing. These are some of the movies I wish younger people would watch.

William Brownlee

It Takes a Thief (1968 TV series) with Robert Wagner was inspired by this movie. Carey Grant in real life was an acrobat before he was an actor.

Doc Larry/old geezer

A cat burglar is a thief who breaks into places using stealth and usually by climbing to upper floors or roofs to do so.

Chip Smith

Grant was a gymnast/acrobat - he first travelled to the US as a member of a troupe. I think it was on the stretch of road near Robie’s villa where Grace Kelly met her tragic death in a car accident.

Alex Leach

Carey Grant was not American actually, he was originally from England!

JustALilTired

Cary Grant sort of played James Bond in arguably his greatest Hitchcock movie, "Notorious" costarring Ingrid ("Casablanca") Bergman!

Matt Stafford

Please put High Noon on your list. One of Grace Kelly’s earliest appearances in movies, it’s considered one of the greatest Westerns of all time.

Stephen Malloy

Yaaaaaaaaay! Been waiting for weeks!

Robert Jewell

Classic movie. My friends mom used to watch this all the time lol
