[YT Edit] Batman V Superman (2016)

Hey guys! Here is the YT edit for "Batman V Superman (Ultimate Edition)" which will premiere later today!

Comments

Agreed. I love that he decided to break it up into chapters. It's convenient for taking a quick break.

Stephen Dias

If you plan to watch Justice League(I hope you do)... please make sure to watch only the Snyder Cut.

Ani

IF you watch Justice League (and its not a necessary watch) definitely do the Synder Cut and I would recommend viewing it in chapters like a series. Its way too long for a single sit through and its already divided in chapters.

Nicholas Coy

I think the idea was that Superman felt like he need to do it to prove himself to the people of earth.

Chris Thom

Yep = "the first WONDER WOMAN film (it's the best of the DCEU offerings)."

Clay F

I posted an image in Extra Butter Chat of Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) in her 'hot' outfit. Looking forward to your "Wonder Woman" (2017) reaction. Carly was positive on Wonder Woman (2017). As you may know, No. 19 at Popcorn Requests. Chris Pine does well. Gal Gadot is captivating. Plus, good story.

Clay F

Yep, definitely made the mediocre movie better. I enjoyed their reaction.

Clay F

Great reaction ladies. Looking forward to Justice League (Snyder cut)...and Wonder Woman.

Joe J

While I am definitely not a fan of this film, I can heartily recommend the first WONDER WOMAN film (it's the best of the DCEU offerings), the first AQUAMAN film, and the first SHAZAM film. They are much less dour and depressing than either this or JUSTICE LEAGUE (either version, the Franken-film that Joss Whedon made or the monochromatic marathon that Zack Snyder's rapacious fans insisted would improve the DCEU). Hope you two get a chance to watch the newest iteration of SUPERMAN that just came out. It has a much better handle on the characters from the comics, and does so with the same heart one would expect from James Gunn, the man who made grown people cry over a talking raccoon. 👍

Steven Perez

1:08:45 "Maybe let Wonder Woman take the shot with the spear?" 😲 ❗❗❗ 57:50-58:01 Cassie wordlessly expressing most people's problem with "Martha."

Happy Hanukkah

Well that was better than I remember. Or is just Cassie and Carly yet again improving a mediocre movie to a good watch with there great reactions? Or is it Matt with his superior editing skills? Maybe it’s a combination of them all. Thanks again ladies, I enjoyed that.

Mark White

1:02.20 - While Batman is beating the squirt out of the bad guy's henchmen, Carly drops possibly the most insightful comment in the history of the reactorverse: "Are these guys really paid enough to stick around?" The answer, Carly, in literally thousands of action movies, would be a resounding "NO!"

Clarence Newman

Just started watching this (30 minutes in before I had to do some pesky work). First of all, big thanks to Matt for the length of the edit. That's a really good chunk of content. Secondly, I loved C & C's reaction to the jumpscare in the crypt. Their faces when they realised it was a dream were a picture. Will get back to watching soon.

Clarence Newman

Not a chance, Steve. She’s hooked.

Clarence Newman

Hey Cassie, did the final episode of Season 1 of GOT upset you so much that you're done with it? I hope not. I'm looking forward to sharing the rest with you.

Steve Smith

FYI, this is trivial: the Russian dude who works with Lex Luthor is a Batman villain known as KGBeast in the comics.

Stephen Dias

To explain the Lois thing, that was the Flash traveling back in time to warn Batman that he had to save Lois from the future where Superman goes bad. It was planned that Lois would be killed by Darkseid who then controls Superman

Tyler Hale

Don’t worry about it Clay, it was never going to happen.

Cole Jennett

Reacting to both Justice League movies would seem excessive. IMDb 6.0, RT 39%, RT Audience 67% - Justice League (2017) (2h) IMDb 7.9, RT 71%, RT Audience 92% - Justice League (2021) (4h)

Clay F

I don't know if Carly can make it for four hours.

Chris Thom

You need to learn that when people talk there is more than verbal communication going on. You need to look at each other for that.

Mike Lemon

You two really need to learn that when you talk to each other you shouldn’t turn to face each other cause you miss a lot of details when you do that. You’re right next to each other. You don’t have to look at each other when you’re talking.

Goofaman

There is as another person said here there is room for different interpretations of comic book characters. I am so glad they watched the Ultimate edition and enjoyed it, sounds like at the end there up for watching Justice League, the Snyder Cut of course!!

Kevin O'Donnell

True. And all this was just emblematic of the different kind of story it was telling. Where Superman isn't established and people are wondering what the hell should earth do with this alien, and looking side eye at all the destruction that came with him. Also I think it was setting the stage for him to possibly go bad for a while. Thought the dream sequence was teasing that.

Chris Thom

Here's the thing about just bringing the fight out of the city, though. (in MoS that is, he notably does a much better job of it here) How do you do that when your opponent's literal stated goal is to make humans suffer and wipe them all out? If you fly away from the city, he just stays there and kills everyone. Superman was never really in control that entire fight, until the very end when he finally has Zod in a choke hold. I can absolutely understand people didn't like the death and destruction in a Superman movie. If we had Kryptonians appear in real life, that's what would happen though. Everyone isn't just going to magically be safe when you have beings this powerful interacting with our world. With so many other comic book movies taking place in more exaggerated versions of our reality, it's interesting to see a more serious take from the perspective of, "What would actually happen if...." There's room for both, Superman has had many, many iterations in comics over the years, and has killed before. That's not to say he *should*, but you can absolutely be a "true" fan and enjoy both the Snyder and Gunn (and Donner, and Singer, and so on) versions.

Josh W

There are no other reactors.

There have a been a few glitches on Patreon recently, Ivan - the page scrolling up to the top of the post when you comment, Load Replies not working sometimes. And this is another one. Easily rectifiable, fortunately. If you try to open on this page, it will happen the way you said. If you click on the main link for the post, it will take you to a separate page and you'll be able to go full screen from there.

Clarence Newman

Has anyone been experiencing issues with watching her full reactions? The last few reactions have shrunk the large screen and reverted back to the small screen and goes back to the beginning? I have to close my browser, clear out cache and login to Patreon and start again. Ford vs. Ferrari died 4 or 5 times the other day...10 minutes in, 19 minutes in, 42 minutes in and twice more after 90 minutes in. Thanks to the time stamp, it only takes 4 or 5 minutes to start watching again, but this is getting old. Yes, I've contacted her directly, but so far...crickets.

crazyivan

Yes, one will only require a snack - the other will require a nap and a snack as it's a 4 hour movie.

crazyivan

First Wonder Woman, then the 4 hour cut! :)

Philip Alan

Ditto. Notably, not directed by Snyder.

Clay F

I've never been a fan of superhero genre generally, w/some exceptions. My favorite Batman: 1. Nolan trilogy 2. The Batman (2022) 3. Batman (1966).

Clay F

You know what, guys? I'm not a fan of Marvel or the superhero genre in general, but reading some of the comments reminds of what it's like to really be a fan of something. For me it's The Beatles. I've been a fan since I was 7 and I have everything they've ever done - including £23k of vinyl! I know the buzz it gives me when I find something new for the collection and that's the vibe I'm getting here. I envy your enthusiasm for these films.

Clarence Newman

For Justice League, you have to watch both versions. Original and Snyder Cut. Both are effectively completely different movies

Rlbkuma

Mind as well do justice league BUT DO THE SNYDER CUT can always break it up into part 1 and 2

Andrew Heller

Had a feeling this one might have trouble.

Chris Thom

So it has copyright demons again on YT?

Anthony Carlson

Fun watching Cassie do the grappling hook pull and punch before Batman did. Lol. That was cute. Also them both fangirling over Wonder Woman.

Chris Thom

Yeah that's wild. This last ten years has been a blur.

Chris Thom

You may've pressed a button on accident. I've been seeing a "block creator" option thing pop up every once in a while. I don't even know how that works. Block the thing you're paying to be subscribed to?

Chris Thom

Throw together a quick collaboration with Amber at AmberReacts. She just did a video for Wonder Woman.

Kevin Shea

Patreon suddenly blocked my account! I sorry for butting in, but I wanted to make sure that everyone checks the status of their Patreon subscription to PIB. For some reason (not by me) my membership was cancelled and PIB was blocked. I couldn't find an easy way to unblock PIB through Android but I was able to unblock it using a PC. I had to re-join, but it's worth it anyway. I just wanted to let Cassie and everyone at PIB to keep an eye out. Thanks.

Larry Dennis

Wonder Woman was the only Sniderverse movie I liked

John Sullivan

Pretty much where I stand with them as well

Cole Jennett

9 years. This movie is 9 yrs old 🤯

John Sullivan

IMO "Wonder Woman" is a great movie and the rest of this wave of DC movies is so-so. "Aquaman" was pretty good too. It really disappoints me because when I was young I loved the entire Justice League lineup.

James Melton

For Justice League, you need to watch the 4hr Snyder Cut

Pablo Rivera-de la Cruz

Carly could do Justice League extended because from memory, it is presented in chapters. You could do 4 chapters per screening.

Brian McGovern

I've used free ClipGrab for about a year. If I want to download full reactions with no download link, I click on youtube to see the full reaction in youtube, and then use ClipGrab (https://clipgrab.org/) to download the youtube video as mp4. Free, relatively easy to use, and no limit on quality. You have to download and install ClipGrab but that quick and easy to do.

Clay F

Don't forget Batman 1966.

Clarence Newman

+1 for Wonder Woman over Justice League

Clay F

Joining with the others in saying "Wonder Woman" should be watched next and then finish the storyline with Snyder's "Justice League". "Aquaman" is worth watching as well, especially since she is fond of him from GoT and others. Enjoy and thanks for all you do

Bill Maurer

Mark, just watch it here on patreon.

Joe J

I didn’t realize Cassie hasn’t seen Wonder Woman yet. Gotta do that soon.

Jim K

hmmm.... now do i watch this in the morning, as usual for me? or do i watch it now? thinking that the YT bots will have it down by the time morning comes round! I'll wait. leave it alone YT!

Mark White

Liked Wonder Woman mostly. Did not care for Justice League. Aquaman was OK. It is always hard to make a really good Superman movie because he is so powerful. You either have to find a way to weaken him or have a villian so powerful that it makes the fight over the head of most mortals. Batman can be more down to earth and those are the stories I like the most. In the Marvel's comics I liked when the super heros like Daredevil or Spiderman fought more local villains and then characters like Thor or Doctor Strange fought the galactic threats.

William Brownlee

The only place to go from here is WONDER WOMAN and then straight to THE SNYDER CUT of JUSTICE LEAGUE. The first will fill in the blanks with Diana Prince/aka Wonder Woman and the second is, like the ultimate cut above, a much deeper and more interesting fleshing out of all the characters. Fun fact for JLA — Afflect and Gadot shine as the stars of the movie and offer differing looks at two characters who know what must be done, despite whatever the cost. Their chemistry is also palpable.

Above Average Dave

I second Birds of Prey

Joe

Hopefully Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and Wonder Woman (2017) next 🤞 with Carly of course 😍

Charles Briggs

Fingers crossed this journey takes you to Aquaman (2018) and Birds of Prey (2020), which I enjoy. I'd also take the opportunity to finally sit down with Zack Snyder's Justice League if you watch that (no thanks on ever subjecting myself to the theatrical version ever again).

Tyler Foster

Cassie, when will the download link be available on the Full Reaction post?
