Stepmom (1998) - Full Reaction

I meant to watch along to this movie much sooner, but I have been so busy. Happy to finally carve some time to do so. I first saw this movie when I was around 11-12 years old and enjoyed it. I think I've only watched it a couple times since and it's been so long since I have. This story definitely hits harder as an adult, where you can see and understand all perspectives. As a kid, I was annoyed with Anna and Jacquie's behaviour towards Isabel. But it's because I had lived through divorce and my mom was living out of the country, so anyone that my Dad would date had a pretty immediate welcome from both my brother and I when he was ready to introduce her to us. Being older, I definitely don't fault either of them for being upset the way they were. The relationships ended happy. And if it makes you and Carly feel a bit better about the Anna confronts Brad scene, the actor portraying the guy with the bike that Isabel got to be there for Anna.. remember that Isabel said he would be a high-schooler. The actor cast was 16 years old and Jena Malone (actress for Anna) was 14 years old. Great reaction with so many emotions. Thanks for watching this!

My Life is the hardest one for me

Re-watched this a few years back, with GF & mom, for first time since I was little. As a cancer survivor, it hit a little harder this time round. Not a dry eye in the house by the end.

I will die on this hill. The 90’s were the best decade for movies

Hope you're alright, Cassie. Feel like you've been through the emotional wringer with a lot of these movies and shows lately. Went back through the schedule for the last month or two and it's kind of a lot. Even Batman v. Superman was pretty intense with a hardcore death in it. But really enjoyed revisiting this movie. Watched the full film and reaction and it was nice travelling back to '98 for a couple of hours. Carly is right, they don't make them quite the same as they used to. Good point about conflict resolution. Wishing you a happy rom-com before October. Hoping you enjoy Lost in Translation.

She is good. I like her. She was good in Donnie Darko.

The little girl, named Jena Malone, played the young Jodie Foster in 'Contact'
