Health issues D: (TL;DR i'm good now)
Added 2025-08-12 00:23:51 +0000 UTCI just wanted to let everyone know that I spent the last three days (from Friday night to just a few hours ago) hospitalized for what ended up being diagnosed as a case of myopericarditis.
In plain English, some slight heart issues. Basically, I had a virus that ended up lodging itself on my heart's walls, and when my immune system attacked it, it caused some inflammation. The episode itself only lasted about an hour during Friday night, and all I really felt was a mild pain in the chest. But obviously, since it involves the heart, I had to spend a few days in the hospital for them to make sure I'm dandy before letting me go.
I'm all good now., back in my home. I only need to take some medicine for a while, but they also asked me to really take it easy and rest for a month. Which mostly means I can't do karate for the next few weeks, but they specifically asked me about my work and stuff, and when I told them my drawing process they asked me to tone it down a bit lmao
So I think I'll be taking one or two weeks to work on some Patreon rewards I owe, and work a bit slower on the comic. I'll still try to deliver at least one page every week, but if it doesn't happen, that's why.
Finally, there's a meme about the online artist that always has health issues, and how it's just a convenient excuse for the artist to take forever to deliver what they were paid to do. It wouldn't exactly apply in this situation, but just in case, I wanted to share some receipts to prove I'm not farming sympathy or making up excuses.
Here's my (redacted for privacy) clinical summary. In Spanish, naturally, because that's what we speak here in my wonderful Argentina.
