Taverns Release 03 | Vampire Hunter - Blue Water | Next Theme!

Hey all!

A few things to go through today, with the third and final push of Taverns, the next release of Vampire Hunter content, and the announcement of next month's theme. Shall we begin?

The MAD Cartographer - Taverns

The Stanley

A large antiquated hotel, sitting alone in an isolated forest, snowed in for winter. Thankfully the groundskeeper is still on hand, along with a skeleton crew of staff. The classic style lounge continues to serve drinks throughout the blizzard, even if you're the only guest. Balloons litter the grand hall, the remains of a recent party. After all, you know what they say about all work and no play! Day and Night variants of this map are included, and the Foundry version uses dynamic weather effects to whip up an animated blizzard outside!

Teppanyaki Tavern

Tucked away in a quiet back alley in town, illuminated by enchanted lights above stores, is a small restaurant where the chef prepares the food right out in the middle of the seating area. The manager of the restaurant has a small office tucked off to the side, and strange seafood lies in the kitchen, waiting to be prepared.

The foundry version of this map has animated lighting effects for the neon lights outside, as well as using dynamic walls to turn the window in the manager's office into a one-way mirror, offering a discreet observation point on the diners. This really is a map that should be explored in Foundry to be fully appreciated!

Vampire Hunters

Blue Water Inn

The best tavern in all of Vallaki (particularly as it's the only tavern in Vallaki) the Blue Water Inn is home to the Martikovs, who many groups end up befriending. 

Our version of the Blue Water Inn spans all 3 levels of the Inn, and includes the stables. The Levels and Better Roofs modules allow Foundry users to navigate up the staircases and climb into the attic automatically, meaning all of your Blue Water escapades can take place on a single scene. Day and Night variants of this map are included.

Next Theme: World Wonders

World Wonders was one of the options in our recent Patreon Poll, and did particularly well! This theme will bring you segments of real world Wonders, and some that have been edited for fantasy flair! Take your players through fantasy encounters in locations recognisable or reminiscent of real world historic wonders!

The team have almost finished these maps and are putting finishing touches to them, before getting onto the following theme. Our intent is to close out 2023 full steam ahead, with a jam-packed 2024 on the horizon. We appreciate you coming on the journey with us!
