Drake Hall | August Release

Hey all!

Today we're here with August's Drake Hall content!

This month we're bringing you the Bowyer, the Hunter's Hide, and the Abandoned Quarry maps. Each of these comes with plot threads, items, connecting quests, and the Abandoned Quarry comes with a fairly tough combat encounter. Let's dive in!

Bowyer

The village bowyer is a place where characters can restock on arrows, pick up a new longbow, or even train a character for proficiency with ranged weapons. It is run by Corra Woodfarthing, one of Drake Hall's elven residents and her small cadre of animal companions. Corra may ask Drake Hall residents she knows as trustworthy by name or reputation to undertake a task delivering supplies to her partner Norris in the Hunter's Hide.

Foundry users are able to enter the buildings and pass beneath other canopy elements. Variants are included for day/night.

Hunter's Hide

A two-story hunting hide located deep in the forests surrounding Drake Hall, the ranger Norris can be found here eking out a solitary existance.

Drake Hall is too small for a formal presence by the Adventurer's Guild, so Norris patrols the forests tracking and dispatching dangerous creatures that stray too close to the town. He will be the equivalent of Drake Hall's bounty board, with new creatures and rewards appearing on his list as the adventure continues.

Norris starts off by asking adventurers to investigate the abandoned quarry, and will provide them with a ranger's pin so he can magically contact them about future bounties.

Foundry users are able to pass beneath the tree canopies, and climb the ladder to the upper level of the Hunter's Hide. Variants are included for day/night.

Abandoned Quarry

Norris has reported mauled but uneaten miners corpses found littered throughout the woods, and suggests investigating at the source. The result is characters finding a quarry that appears to have been abruptly abandoned during the day.

This area is a real chance for high investigation characters to shine, with a series of events able to be pieced together using documents and Foundry items dotted around the camp.

Eventually, characters may end up disturbing and uncovering the beast responsible for the death of the miners, the heavily armoured Drakegolin.

Foundry users are able to pass beneath the overhead tree and crane canopy elements, enter the working tents, or move up and down the levels of the quarry using ladders or ramps. Variants are included for day/night.

Adventurers who best the Drakegolin will find that this unique creature can be harvested for claws and scales. The Steelscale Smithy has been updated with magical items that can be created from the remains of this powerful beast!

Drake Hall is available on pCloud for All the Things tier Patrons, and the Foundry module has been updated!

We'll be back in a few days to conclude this month's MAD TV theme, and reveal what the theme will be for September!

Until then...

Keep Rollin' those 20's, folks!
