[FULL REACTION] Ford V Ferrari (2019)

Rumor has it Ken slowed down intentionally and let Mclaren pass him and win because he didn't want Ford to have the photograph finish of 2 of them crossing at the same time, because he knew he wouldn't get first and was pissed that they even thought of the idea. There is a photo of this and Mclaren is a car length ahead of Ken. Also it was pouring down rain in reality. Had they crossed at the same time in a heat it does make sense Ken would lose 1st he did start from further up and they both kept the same pace. But I do love this film regardless.

Yea… I cry every time at the end. But I still watch it a few times a year. A top 25 movie for me all time. So happy you reacted to it!

Lee Iacocca (1924-2019) (one of my favorite characters in the movie portrayed in an excellent performance by Jon Bernthal) became famous in the auto industry and a public figure. At Ford, he was known for development of the Mustang and other vehicles. He became president of Ford, and then president of Chrysler. At Chrysler, he secured a US government $ bailout that saved the company. At one point, Iacocca was the country’s highest-paid executive. Further, he published an autobiography that stayed on the NYT bestseller list for 88 weeks. He was ranked the nation’s third-most admired person in a 1985 Gallup Poll, just behind President Ronald Reagan and Pope John Paul II. He considered running for President. He died in 2019 at age 94.

Good reaction. I enjoyed watching this along side with you. It's one of my favorites. I look forwards to others.

Great reaction. Thank you. This is my third or fourth time to watch this movie. Excellent acting. Caitriona Balfe (who plays Mollie -- Ken's wife) is the lead character "Claire" in the Outlander TV series (2014-present). For another movie in which Christian Bale completely transforms himself and doesn't seem like the same person, see "The Fighter" (2010), which also stars Mark Wahlberg and Amy Adams. Another awesome car racing movie is Rush (2013) starring Chris Hemsworth. I realized how good of an actor is Hemsworth when I watched that movie. As you know, car racing movies do have speed and the chance to get hurt. By the way, Ford offered Ferrari ten ("dieci") million US $.
