Yelena - Character Sketch for Issue #1

The artist for Yelena #1 sent me this sketch of the titular character. I was kind of on the fence with starting a new comic line. We had several comic lines that featured tickle torture (The Agencies, The Ruthless) that were popular, so I wasn't sure how Yelena would fit in. I had this notion of a witch kicking around in my head forever, and wonder if it could somehow fit into our library.
As it turns out, we had a gap in erotic tickling and the romantic side of our shared interest. After I saw this sketch though I was smitten with this character and immediately fleshed out the backstory and plot points for the first issue. I wanted one of the themes of the comic line to represent love. Not a shame of tickling, but a genuine love for it, and among Gretchen and Yelena.
