This was a season finale so they gotcha with the no "To be continued...". However the rule still applies in Season 3. Also the reason Eren couldn't turn was because he wasn't fully healed. Lastly, you can watch all the OVA's except Mikasa's OVA. DO NOT WATCH the Mikasa OVA until after Season 3 - Episode 12. Other then that good reaction. And yes Season 3 gets even better !! Especially the second half. However Season 4 is out of this world good.
