That is largely how the game is structured now. There is a main storyline, and if you do nothing else, you can kind of power through it. It's the extra, optional content that creates such a large game (the dungeons, long story arcs for the inner circle characters, shorter romanceable options for secondary characters).

2023-08-22 00:28:30 +0000 UTCOne thing to consider to make the story more managable might be to take advantage of the interactive medium so that not all plot lines are mandatory to finish the main story. Then, in theory at least, you could focus on the getting the main story done and then add more side quests in later patches.
