2024-03-28 15:00:48 +0000 UTCvibe check on seon was spot on, guy was playing instigator from the very start. planning to conspire against Heeseung during the signal test, just for him to say it’s better if he just did it in the first place, like??? He was also stirring the direction of others’ opinion and selfishly leading the parts selection. “People from ground” as if he was in a level above them. it’s so condescending… bugged me how he managed to stay in ILand throughout the entirety of part 1, because he made moves to befriend everyone (only to talk shit behind their backs). honestly, i think everyone just didn’t see him as a threat enough to even notice him.

2023-12-08 11:00:27 +0000 UTCI liked the producers noting Sunoo's facial expressions and it was a point for his moving back to I-LAND. They noted facial expressions were lacking in the first mission and that likely was an element to the low score. It came up again in Mission 2, the diversity in the facial expressions and how that likely contributed to this or that trainee's score. It's an idol's job to look in the mirror and see what they look like when they make a certain "face". We feel a certain way, don't we?!? It's all part of the performance.

2023-10-05 15:56:32 +0000 UTCViki unfortunately no longer has I-land there... there's a couple of sites that have uploaded their videos with the wiki translations but the websites are not as reliable

2023-10-01 20:59:47 +0000 UTCThere are 23 trainees, 12 I-Landers and 11 Grounders. And you are not wrong about Seon. He gives me the bad vibes from the start too. Jay has a lot of leadership potential but he really don't like to give orders unless he has to during crucial moments such as trying to get back to I-Land. I really admire Jay and how his mindset work because you can really tell that his stubbornness and being able to take criticism well is not easy for everyone, but Jay just know how to take it and applies it to make whatever better. As for the conflict between Ni-ki and the Grounders, it's reasonable to for him to be mad because he's determined to climb back up but at the same time he also need to understand that health is also important. I feel like there were just too much stress and too short of a time. Again, Ni-ki being only 14 (international age), it's a lot of pressure on his shoulders and it's so sad to watch, especially for all of them. Same as you, K and Heeseung slay that performance, plus Geonu vocal was amazing!

2023-10-01 05:23:56 +0000 UTCJay really stood out to me from episode 2 on because of his ability to take control in a democratic way. As someone who is similar in my attitude when it comes to leadership (will step up if needed, but is reluctant to do so unless I feel like it's needed) I like how Jay really steps up this episode. While he might not want to be the leader for all intent and purposes, he does it because he feels its needed and that he is the one that has the "know how" as he has learned from watching others on what (and what not) to do. While he still gets frustrated with the process as not everyone is on the same page. He takes Rain's criticism VERY well and applies it to insure that the performance that the Ground gives is their best. Also, the quote "anger, resentment, shame" becomes a bit of a mantra/running joke in I-land. I know that you don't want any spoilers...but do you want to know more about the process on how they narrow it down to get the 12? We can tell you without giving too much away. Either way it's still a lot of fun rewatching it with you. Thank you!

2023-10-01 01:27:56 +0000 UTCYeah you definitely get attached to all of them while watching haha If you'd like, after Part 1 eliminations we could probably tell you where those who were eliminated are currently (in terms of debut). Except there are some who we probably can't tell full details cause of spoilers. Do you have any favorites so far? Or any you're hoping debuts?
