2024-01-27 00:30:32 +0000 UTCI really loved It's One's dance performance tbh but that's just because that style of dancing and music is very much my thing, whereas "Wolf" is just not aha. But both dance performances were impressive...definitely more a matter of personal taste than quality, imo.

And another curiosity is that both HwiYoung (SF9) and SunWoo (The Boyz) appeared in Bobby's solo song "Drowning M/V". They really got pretty close through Kingdom.

2023-11-08 01:55:13 +0000 UTCI really thought the performances were super close for this one but I think I preferentially loved the mayfly rap and the team one dance. Loved the other two performances aswell but they were just totally different styles at the end of it. Was delighted to see sunwoo rapping like that though, he is so good and it was unexpected from him as I don't know TBZ that well. I think its just fun to see ateez/skz and btob work together like this, its a rare thing to see so many faves team up and they get on so well. I think the real takeaway from this episode for me was this is 100 percent the moment where I really fell in love with Hongjoong as my ateez bias (since back then), he is so pure and joyful I could almost feel his excitement through the screen at just getting to share and work and play with the other guys who do similar stuff to him. I was so caught up in his genuine delight and I felt so happy he got to do that and enjoy it so much, he is a beautiful soul <3

2023-11-06 10:35:35 +0000 UTCI am biased (literally) as I stan two groups from this show and they're both in mayfly, but for me they def deserved the rap unit win. Dance I agree that honestly it's down to personal preference, as they both did amazing, and comparing those two would be like comparing apples and oranges. However for me, the rap units were similar enough to objectively compare, and while it would be a much harder battle if it's one put in the performance and stage work of mayfly, they didn't. Doing a laid back performance could've worked in their favor, but unfortunately it just created a huge gap between them and mayfly. Mayfly had a set concept and stuck with it, from costumes to set to lyrics. They both had an amazing song, but I think Mayfly were the team to take that and build on it to make a show, where it's one just relied a little too heavily on the song itself, since it is a performance show after all. Also it is truly a crime that none of the songs/covers from Kingdom are on streaming-

2023-11-06 06:10:32 +0000 UTCFor me, I liked the concept of the It's One dance better but I preferred the execution of Mayfly's dance. In this case I think it comes down to synergy. In each Mayfly performance, they feel like one cohesive team. Whereas it's One you can kind of feel in the final performances that it's members of separate teams collaborating. Everyone did a fantastic job with their performances, but I definitely think Mayfly had more synergy as a team. Also, I cannot wait for your reaction to the next episode! The vocal competition was insane!!

2023-11-05 21:12:29 +0000 UTCEvery single team did so incredibly well, my personal preference is still mayfly in every round though. I really liked that they used every member and no one got left out, and the chemistry between the groups is so nice to see as a fan who likes all of them. Even though I'm an atiny first, I really love the boyz and sf9 as well, so it would have been cool to see all of them participate. I feel like they are probably the lesser known groups in kingdom, so it would have been a really good opportunity to show off their talents. Also, I think that if the itsone performances would have been on different programmes, like dance and rap centred ones, they would have deserved the win more, but for kingdom, which is obviously about kpop in general, mayfly just had more impact. Altogether I just hope that the teams that lost in their respective rounds didn't beat themselves up back then because they all did such a good job and the voting must have been very close. Sorry for the long rant, thank you once again for a great episode, I look forward to it every week!

2023-11-04 17:09:59 +0000 UTCRap wise, Full Dash was my favorite. Overall! My favorite thing about it is just how laid back it was, like Bobby was saying. Just to have fun! And you can tell that’s what they did ! Another reason why it’s hard to not love Bobby, because every performance he does, he’s chill and just has fun! And imo that’s what makes a great rapper But for the performance aspect of the rap unit, I loved the Paint by 5racha. They kept you hooked with their performance and stage props. Minhyuk esp always catches my eye as usual. Such a simp for him. Pretty sure I’ve talked about him in EVERY comment I’ve made lol since you started watching me kingdom For the dance units OOF it was such a hard decision because you have the from its1 team dancing telling a story about Korea and it was absolutely beautiful, just three handsome men honoring who they are and where they’re from ! then they threw in that dance break to add extra intensity to it. ?!? Sooo good Then you have the mayfly dance unit with Wolf, not only did they create some amazing choreo for it as well honoring the original! And since they recorded their own vocals for it and adding more musical layers to the song, it just fit the vibe with the concept they were going for. It felt like it was THEIR song in a way, not just dancing and covering Exos version which is always so refreshing. Also love how Peniel got his own dance moment 🖤 he always has my heart Like you said, it really is a matter of taste on who did the “best” cuz they all absolutely tore up the stage. Both teams did well and each deserved a win Anyways ! I can’t wait for you to check out the Mayfly vocal unit!! You’ll def be blown away

2023-11-04 16:27:54 +0000 UTCactually after watching the rap performances back a few times… i’m STARTING to lean towards Full Dash being the better one, just because it was PURE hip-hop, they were so naturally dope on stage and i feel like they flowed on their song better. so maybe i’d give them my vote but it’s hard cause i felt like mayfly had the better “performance”,, the other team just embodied hip-hop style so much better i think IDK!!!

2023-11-04 16:19:44 +0000 UTCMayfly did so unbelievably well but the rap units were definitely NECK AND NECK. I still go back and forth whether Mayfly or i9 did better. I definitely don’t envy the judges during this round. I just wish the i9 team would’ve used more of their hard-hitting members. Like both the dance and rap unit were just the lead dancers and rappers. I think part of why Mayfly won was sheer numbers and teamwork.

Those are my top 3 groups from this competition and seeing them all together was a blessing♡ Also I would like to bring attention to my boy San facial expressions during the performance. To me, he really gave a distinctive trait to the performance, very wild and raw! (i hope my english is ok sorry in advance)
