2024-04-12 23:40:48 +0000 UTCCan’t wait to watch more bls together when you finish this one. “The Eighth Sense“ and “Blueming“ are definitely my favourites, so it would be amazing to rewatch Blueming alongside you. It’s an amazing one. Also “Love for Love‘s Sake“ which is a fairly recent one.

It starts in silence but the music is back at the end- and the way in the therapy scene the light subtly brightened when Jaewon said that Jihyun was fine now. This show represents depression really well by showing it through absence. We don't see Jaewon when he's at the absolute darkest in the hospital or unable to get out of bed, we just see that he's missing, and as he comes back he's disconnected and his world is desaturated. Whereas Jihyun's world is bright- he's gained confidence despite the accident. That comment about balance at the end, Jihyun's world got brighter as Jaewon's got darker. Jaewon helped Jihyun to gain confidence and discover his identity, now the scales seem to have tipped and Jaewon is more insecure/withdrawn. This is such a good show. I was genuinely scared when watching it live and the comment that Jihyun was alive was such a relief. I'm enjoying rewatching it with you.
