If you were as drained watching Naruto open Kurama's seal as you were in the other subathon - watching Naruto convince Pain to trust him, I would have been PISSED Also I 100% agree about Sasuke - I could not care less about his side of the story. His and Itachi's fight against Kabuto bored me more than most fillers 😆

2025-10-26 23:53:15 +0000 UTCTo the people being mad in the chat that fillers were skipped, I will get to you, but first I will complain about the chatters that have no idea what sarcasm is: Luke clearly knew it was a reference to at least some story, not to dragon ball, he made what is known as a "joke". There are 3 groups of fillers: None canon fillers, and this group is very large, and the people who hate them are also very large. Fillers that make stuff up: This group is not as small as I wish it was. Context fillers: Fillers that literally fill up an episode or two, or parts of them. And some people hate all fillers, I don't, some people hate all the made up stuff, I do. And some do not care and want to watch every filler, and I do not, I do not need 25 episodes about a curry war were the only message is "love is good, war is not, tradition and spirit are good" which is the entire message of the anime, but it changed nothing. However, i do understand the people who are saying "why did we skip this? It is not manga canon, but this is not silly." And I do agree, but it also usually felt like the episodes were somtimes lower quality, some were high quality, but not all.

2025-10-24 09:41:25 +0000 UTCI know Luke doesn't understand or like Sasuke, but to me he's someone I pity. He lost everyone at a young age and is full of unprocessed grief and trauma. Since the start of Naruto he's dealt with that by just training to be the strongest, all because he wants to get revenge. We've watched that desire for revenge grow and grow, and we've seen him lash out and grow more unstable as he's realized how far he is from achieving his goal. He ran away and got trained by Orochi, who is 100% a horrible rolemodel that absolutely played into his fragile emotional state and egged him on, and then when he finally thought he was getting revenge, he learns the village itself were the ones that wanted the killing. Then who comes in while he's reeling and trying to process this information? Tobi, who again is a horrible influence and openly manipulates Sasuke for his own goals and desires. I think the way he's never really matured, never had a chance to truly grieve and get over the loss of his family, and how that manifests in him lashing out viciously and blindly is completely reasonable for someone that's had no parents, has lived alone, and spent the last few years being groomed to think violence is the best option. Doesn't help that ninja culture in general is all about factions and fighting other factions to the death, again instilling the idea that is how he should act. All his role models growing up were in on the murder of his family as well, so even thinking of them he can't help but associate his role models with slaughtering innocents to achieve a goal. So I pity Sasuke and can understand why he feels and thinks the way he does. Doesn't mean it's right or acceptable, but he's a broken person that's never had a chance to truly grieve or process their pain.
