Comic delayed some days, and something else
Added 2025-09-03 23:06:35 +0000 UTCFor many many months, we have released comics on time, at the 1st day of the month or so.
We are closing in on page 15/16 of 20 at this moment and working hard to get it done within some days. For this we are really sorry and I ask that you read the first reason and optionally the second.
Reason #1 - I (growgetter, the producer) had been doing a lot of soul searching on our comics. Some might say "if it isnt broke dont try to fix", and other say "there is always room for improvement". We hope to always be #2 but in the last 12 months, I wasnt sure that was truly the case.
Were the comics getting too repeatable and predictable? There is a big problem with comics that dont end and leave on cliffhangers (Müller writing in the works, promise). What about the anatomy? We try to be the best anatomy out there.....
So this one took a lot more involvement from me, the producer, just like in the old days. Im trying to slightly change the proportions of the anatomy to honor the original comic creator (SuperCDR, this comic will be Crystal Peaks 2) and start to add a bigger amount of variety, without screwing things up.. this is delicate.
Reason #2 - There was a death in the family of the main artist. He needed time, and I need to be a good boss and respect him for that in a time of greiving. Hes back on as is the full team.
Reason #3 (forgot) - There is a 27 page comic which is Gribbles favorite (forgive me Gribble if I got that wrong) but our team (3 people) usually only has capacity for 20 pages. So, they made the first 7 pages or so of next months 27 pager, this month, which added to it all.
Lastly, Ive (growgetter) have been doing a lot of looking and trying to know what to improve, so far I got this:
Finish the damn comics you make (started talks on Worst to First Final)
Make less predictable stores
Make longer growth scenes, individual muscle groups
What else? please feel free to contact me on discord - growgetter#7626 and tell me you came here from this post
