Of course, seeing how every single person bowed and covered their faces in Jinshi's presence, I'm sure that guard is going to die very, very slowly. I don't think Lakan is behind the attack though, he's literally been bringing them clues the entire time. Taking a steel club to the face would have been devastating, hopefully they think to call for her father to treat her, as much as I like the doctor, he's not good enough. Amazing how they paid off the metalworker plot - the beam would be supported normally, but when they lit that brazier beneath it for the ceremony, the metal would soften as we saw in that episode. Clever timer to kill Jinshi.
