Fan service is there to sell the manga/anime, not to sell the plot XD But I agree it is just annoying and off putting, but I also don't think I am the demographics it is aimed for.

2024-07-11 08:52:45 +0000 UTCI don't think the russian girl in his past is Alya, it doesn't really connect with me. Partly because he would know the girls name since he spent so much time with her and he didn't recognize Alya in anyway, nor does she recognize him or his name. But given anime's occasional lack of logic I guess it isn't impossible, just extremely unlikely imo. Also because that would make her his lost childhood friend and we all know that childhood friends always lose in anime! They haven't left any hints to connect Alya with the girl, other than being russian speaking, and I don't think that is enough. Of course this could change, but again I don't think it is likely.

In fact you would think that the show “Day With My Step Sister “ would have this trope, but it doesn’t and had no fan service, it’s serious, beautiful and good. It doesn’t not have any fan service at least the first episode.
