To my understanding it might have been cause igneel and metalicana were inside of natsu and gajeel thus won't be able to pass this sounds way more logical to me at least

2023-09-07 05:12:27 +0000 UTCsomething really cool is back in the battle of fairy tail when laxus attacked the guild natsu and gajeel were trapped in the guild hall cause the runes. saying people over the age of 80 cant escape the guild hall and no one knew why natsu and gajeel couldnt leave, just like the master couldn't cause they were over 400 years old. lol

By the way, you can safely watch the English dub outtakes that are on youtube. The English director played pranks on the voice cast and made some hilarious outtake compilations from the earlier episodes in this season. Might be a good reaction for you.
