Hello EVERYONE! Here is my first DUO reaction
We spent an entire day reacting to the entire series, however editing these videos is taking a LONG TIME. I have to re-sync the audio in this video because we kinda got too loud at some points and the sync went off. Midway around ep 4 I think I changed the mic a bit so we will see.

2024-01-09 15:39:59 +0000 UTCSeeing as Oda-sensei gave his blessing for everything, any real fan should be okay with the changes. It's not meant to be a 1-1 adaption and anyone who was expecting that is incredibly naive. Nor should we have a 1-1 adaption. If I wanted to see the exact same story play out I'd just re-read the Manga, which I have done several times. Instead this gives a fresh new take on the One Piece story. And serves its main purpose, which is to pull in more fans who have never seen One Piece to watch the anime. I personally know 5 people who have started the anime or manga since watching this, 1 of them has never seen an anime before, even the basic ones. And honestly I don't think there's a single detail that is crucial to the story that they didn't put in. In the anime, they had to force through character development for Koby in 3 20 min episodes and here they get to flesh it out throughout 8 1 hr episodes. In the end, this adaption served its purpose and all of the cranky crybabies who expected every single scene to be exactly the same are irrelevant as this series had rave reviews and was renewed for Season 2 literally 2 weeks after season 1 dropped, which proves just how the level-headed, open-minded fans enjoyed it.

Anyone who doesn't like the fact that they will change sooo many things, (myself for example.) should probably not watch it, since it will upset you. Personally i don't even understand who thought that live action one piece was a good idea. They will rush through the plot and leave out so many important things, change so many things. The tone of the show will be way different, the details will be missing or changed. You should probably watch it with the expectation that it won't be at all like the anime.

First and foremost how they handled Koby. They didnt have him be the one to tell off Alvida which is a huge moment for him. They didnt have him involved enough with Luffys heist that he came across as a accomplice either. They also didnt make Morgans a bad enough guy. Not even close. Here he comes across as a overbearing jerk but not the monster he was in the anime and manga. He didnt abuse Helmeppo and he wasnt such a tyrant with his subordinates that they literally thanked Luffy for defeating him. I dont understand why they changed up everything with them so much.

2023-09-02 19:00:05 +0000 UTCShould also mention this but Netflix has a one piece store front can actually buy a 🐌 transponder or possibly a phone along with other merchandise and they just added alot of the one piece anime movies on Netflix on September 1st at least in Canada along with I think every season up to thriller bark if anyone new to one-piece since they got introduced to live action show and want to see what happens next
