Bioluminescence Testing
Added 2023-09-05 02:16:00 +0000 UTCI wanted to do a little more experimenting with yesterday's blue version of the new stomach model, I would love feedback, does the glowing effect look good?

Thanks! yeah, the hard part is really making it look like the light is coming from the flesh itself and not another source, I tried to have it show more by making the veins darker to seem like those are blocking some light, but I'm not sure if it shows through enough

A tricky aspect of bioluminescence seems to be differentiating it from general colored ambiance; really making it feel like the glow is originating inside the skin. Establishing the natural translucency of the skin, then having subdermal luminescent cells shinning through.

2023-09-05 02:59:21 +0000 UTCThat looks fun and it's certainly very lovely to see the walls! As for a 'glow', when I think glowing I think like, nuclear radiation with every curve and surface its own weak light source. It's certainly a blue stomach I'd love to spend time in :eyes:
