Matheus will serve as a tutorial — the first of many experiences Daniel will have throughout the game. Through these arranged encounters, Daniel will also have the chance to dive deeper into the stories of secondary characters and develop his relationships with them.
These scenes were also a test for animations, using a motion capture workflow I’ve been developing to improve the quality and realism of animations and facial expressions, with the goal of adding more and more videos throughout the game.
Chapter 8 and the remake are being developed in parallel. The remake still needs more time, so the next update will be Chapter 8, which is coming soon.
