Pose Library Release (Part 1)

It relies on the "new" asset library. See below how to use.

I don't even know how many poses there are but a whole lot (1700+).

This will work for all my models (males or females)

Little trick, if you select bones, the poses will only affect those bones so you can combine poses that way to create something else.

How to use :
1. Put everything from the archive in a folder
2. Define that folder as an asset library folder in blender parameters
3. Access it from any blender file with the asset browser

Pose Library Release (Part 1)

Comments

Nevermind, I got it.

I can't figure out how to make it work with the Cammy model. It applies the pose to the head and torso but not the arms and legs.

Phoenix

Yeah that file browser sorely needs an update

LeGuymelef

Yep, I shoulda checked the whole thread. Got it working in a hacky kind of way, but that is blender for ya. Mahalo.

Check the discussion above with Baron

Really neat idea, but all it does for me is crash blender. Anyone else have better luck?

MMmmmVarley

This is really fantastic. Great work.

Guy

Yep, had to make new blend files separating some of the poses, but in the end that did help, just hard to point to a solution when blender just hardcrashes every time when you do something :P

Baron Rogacizna

I'm afraid the solution can only come from you there. I can't fix blender and only your pc knows how much it can handle. I guess you can either append the poses you need into another file or remove poses from the one I provide.

LeGuymelef

Yes I am using it with the asset browser, not animation panel. Thing is when I make the asset library path to it, it crashes but when I grab just a few that I want, it does not. There are loads of the combat ones that I know I wont use, things work much smoother for me with less poses.

Baron Rogacizna

what do you mean by "grab" ? And as stated in the post it will crash if you use the animation panel. To answer the question yes it is possible to remove stuff but it must be done manually asset by asset so kind of painful.

LeGuymelef

maybe but probably not

LeGuymelef

yes

LeGuymelef

Out of curiosity, any way to remove multiple assets from the library? If I grab the whole thing blender crashes hard. Was thinking of dividing them more for taking it easy on the PC :D

Baron Rogacizna

And does it work on all of your models or..?

FromSpace3D

Nice I’ll check it out, will it be updated with more poses over time ?

FromSpace3D

Good sir this is a great gift indeed, and will be put to good use :D
