What age should the player be?
Added 2022-01-04 09:32:04 +0000 UTCHello everyone! So I mentioned in my last post that I was going to ask more feedback from the community. So here we are! The first poll of 2022.
Player age
There have been a lot of re-writes on top of re-writes changing the protagonist's age. Switching in between:
-Older more experienced character (like Orange Trainer & Paprika Trainer)
-Younger roughly the same age as the rest of the campers character
Experienced character
Having had experience writing for Lowlife and New Guy, this would be an obvious choice. Someone with a bit more life experience who can point out the ridiculous nature of the situation you're in. He would be closer to a Camp Counselor rather than a camper.
An example of the more experienced guy would be:
- Genie from Akabur's games
- Lowlife from Orange Trainer
- New Guy from Paprika Trainer
Same-age character
I have a little less experience writing these, but I can see the potential. The benefit of having a younger character is that there's a bigger potential for adding friendships and romance to the game. Also it would play into the whole 'naughty camp experience'. Where you go out and peak on girls, get your first kiss and hang out with friends.
An example of the younger / inexperienced guy would be:
- Summertime Sage protagonist
- What a Legend protagonist
What would you personally prefer playing as?

Voted for younger since I really love how "What a Legend" is done.

2022-01-04 20:54:06 +0000 UTCтут по идее может быть даже вариант смешивающий оба ответа, как пример "бесконечное лето", там в начале более старший подросток немного омолаживается и попадает в пионер лагерь конца 80х начала 90х (по лору ему было 19-20, а стало примерно 16, то есть одинаковый возраст с остальными пионерами...)

2022-01-04 10:09:48 +0000 UTCWhile the whole "camp counsellor fools around with campers" angle might hold some appeal, I think 80s and 90s summer camp movie nostalgia lends more towards being a fellow camper. I'm imagining the Jewish kid from Addam's Family Values, who starts off all pathetic and ends up hooking up with Wednesday. Oh on that note, there better be a goth girl with pigtails I swear...
