Biokinetic - Chapter 18

Kenichi stayed still and silent as Aizawa charged into the mass of villains at the bottom of the stairs. A rather large part of him wanted to charge in right behind the man and lay waste to the fodder in front of him. Yet, he held his position and waited. In the series of events that revolved around One For All and All For One, the USJ incident was small potatoes. The biggest threats were the Nomu, Tomura, and Kurogiri, in that order. The rest of the villains were trash that got taken out with relative ease in canon.

Looking at the villains in front of him, they were still trash. Honestly, the fact that Aizawa pummeled the majority of them on his own in canon just showed how terrible they were. Aizawa may be an experienced hero with a useful Quirk, but his limits are the upper end of human limitations. His Quirk is also nearly useless against Mutant-type Quirks, only being able to eliminate any Emitter-type abilities their mutation might give. Yet he can trounce them all with relative ease.

Of course, none of that is taking into account Kenichi's own contributions to increasing the strength of his classmates. He might not have been able to help everyone, but plenty had been helped and would be significantly stronger now than their canon counterparts. All this meant that he had no real reason to interfere and take out everyone in the building himself. Rather, it would be more productive to allow Kurogiri to split the group up and let his fellow students get some experience. This was the first step toward becoming true heroes in the canon story and he wouldn't want to deny them that.

Kenichi wrapped his fingers around the staircase railing while muttering to himself, “New Order, Any student or member of faculty for UA will be transported directly to this place if they are moderately injured.”

Kenichi smiled as he felt the first, and currently only, rule imposed by his copy of Star and Stripe's Quirk New Order take effect within the building. While he had complete faith in his friends and his ability to protect them and Aizawa from grievous harm, it didn't hurt to have contingencies in place to make one hundred percent sure nothing unexpected happened.

Besides, he had to make one hundred percent sure nothing bad happened to Momo. It wouldn't do him any good if he went to jail for murdering any scumbag that dared to hurt her.

Honestly, the prospect of going to jail was also what had held him back thus far from leaping into the fight with, or even before, Aizawa. Despite the trespassing, pummeling someone into unconsciousness was definitely a crime. It'd do no good to pummel Tomura only to end up in jail for assault charges. Kenichi was finally pulled out of his rather quick introspection when he saw Kurogiri vanish from sight in a swirl of black smoke.

He turned as Kurogiri appeared between the class and the doors. Seeing Kurogiri up close totally justified Kenichi's belief that Kurogiri was actually the coolest villain in the series. At least in looks and attitude.

“Greetings. We are the League of Villains. I apologize for our presumption but we took it upon ourselves to enter UA in order to engage with All Might. We were hoping to extinguish him, you see. He was scheduled to be here today, perchance was the schedule altered?”

Kurogiri stopped talking as a shouting Kirishima charged at him and took a swing. Kurogiri's mist-like body seemed to disperse a bit making Kirishima look smug, until it reformed and Kurogiri continued to speak in a calm voice, “That was quite perilous.”

Thirteen lifted a hand while shouting out, “It's no use, just run!”

Before anyone could move, Kurogiri's body seemed to explode outward to encompass the majority of the class, “You will be scattered! Tortured! And Slain! All of you!”

The majority of the class was captured within the black fog and scattered to the various fields within USJ. Kurogiri was limited to such measures as allowing a student out would allow for reinforcements to be called. Now that the class had been scattered to their areas and could get some experience, it was time for Kenichi to move, and move he did.

Just as Kurogiri reformed two things happened simultaneously. First, Thirteen began using her Quirk by opening a small cap on the tip of her finger. Second, Kenichi moved. Before Thirteen could even activate her Quirk and attempt to vacuum Kurogiri up with her Black Hole Quirk, Kenichi was already in Kurogiri's personal space.

The villain barely had time to register Kenichi's presence before a loud metallic clang echoed out from his neck. The powerful blow, carefully regulated by Kenichi, smashed into Kurogiri's collar and deformed it leaving a fist shaped imprint. The powerful blow picked Kurogiri up and launched him to the side, throwing him clear of the entrance and rending him unconcious.

In the silence that followed his attack on the warp gate user, Kenichi turned to Ida, one of the few students who'd been left behind, “Ida, I need you to run to the main campus and get help. You're the fastest student in the class over long distances, you can get help before anything worse happens.”

Ida looked shocked, and appeared to want to argue, but the intense look from Kenichi silenced him. Rather than waste time, he nodded and took off as fast as he could. Over the time they'd known each other, Kenichi and Ida had done some practice races to see their top speeds. Over a short distance, Kenichi was significantly faster than Ida. However, Ida's top speed eclipsed Kenichi's. Well, it did as long as Kenichi was in his chosen base form, didn't release all his limiters, and didn't enhance his speed further with additional Quirks. His ability to copy Quirks was still a secret and he felt no need to lord his abilities over his fellow students.

With Ida taking off to get backup, Kenichi turned to Thirteen, only for the Space Hero to speak up, “Good job young man. Now all of you get outside! This place isn't safe and I can't watch you while helping Eraser Head!”

The students looked conflicted. Clearly they wanted to help, to do what they were training to do. Kenichi smiled brightly as he looked past Thirteen, “Sorry, no can do Sensei.”

As he spoke he release all of the currently limiters on his body. His form swelled slightly with such speed that there was a small gust of wind that spread out from his body. Before Thirteen could even begin to berate him for denying her order, he launched himself past her. The force behind his launch was so great that the ground beneath his feet shattered sending small clumps of concrete into the aim.

There was an ungodly crashing sound behind Thirteen followed by a powerful gust of wind. As the hero spun around to see what happened she witnessed a terrible sight. Kenichi was standing a short distance away along with the largest villain to come through the portal. It was a massive monster with black skin, bulging muscles, a bird beak, and had the top half of its head missing leaving its brain fully exposed. The two stood in front of each other with their arms extended and their fists pressing against each other in an apparent deadlock. Thirteen immediately realized that if Kenichi hadn't acted she would have been attacked by the villain from behind.

Off in the distance the man covered in severed hands shouted over the din of combat, “NOMU! KILL THAT KID THEN KILL THIRTEEN!”

The Nomu let out a high pitched screech and threw another punch. Kenichi met the Nomu's fist with his own causing another loud crash and burst of wind from the impact. If someone looked closely, they would have seen the flesh and bones of the hand Kenichi used to stop the first blow stitching themselves back together. Kenichi was strong, very strong, but the Nomu was definitely stronger and had the added benefit of negating any damage that Kenichi's fists could deal thanks to its Shock Absorption Quirk.

There was another issue Kenichi was having to contend with. He was currently fighting to keep himself from vomiting from the combination of pain from the first blow and getting his first read on the Nomu's tortured Quirks. If he hadn't already experienced One For All, touching the Nomu would have easily had him doing the same thing he'd done on shaking Midoriya's hand, vomiting uncontrollably.

The horror that was the Nomu's brutalized Quirks wasn't something he would describe with words, if asked. All he could say is that it was far worse than what he'd experienced with One For All. One For All just stole the Quirk from its hosts and added them to the collective. Yes, the process was rather gruesome, to him, but it was also kind of natural. Nothing about the Nomu was natural. It was a horrific Frankenstein monster of Quirks, if Frankenstein had been designed by David Cronenberg.

Since he found himself outmatched in pure physical strength by the Nomu, Kenichi shifted gears. He grimaced as he began to shapeshift his body rapidly while simultaneously exchanging blows with the Nomu. Between deforming his own back to better utilize a Quirk and his hands constantly being broken in a quickly growing exchange between himself and Nomu, he was in a fair amount of pain. He'd managed to negate this drawback of his Quirk most of the time by numbing himself somewhat so it didn't effect him. Doing such changes while having to focus on fighting Nomu precluded him from focusing on numbing his nerves. He needed his full senses for the battle and couldn't risk missing something by limiting his sense of feeling.

As soon as he finished making the new organ on his back, he activated it along with one of the Quirks he'd copied from One For All. He didn't remember it's exact name, Fa Jin, but he knew what it did. The Quirk was activated by repetitive motion, something his new organ was specifically designed to do. The motion generated kinetic energy which was then stored for later release as a massive burst of speed and power, or multiple weaker bursts. With a dedicated organ that did nothing but move in a repetitive fashion, he could generate truly monstrous amounts of energy.

He simultaneously activated a second Quirk, one of his favorites from One For All. This one he remembered the name of, Gearshift. Simply put, Gearshift allowed the user to change the speed of anything as it accelerated through space, even ignoring inertia. In canon, Izkuku couldn't really handle Gearshift at full power for more than a few minutes. It was just too powerful after being amped up by One For All. Kenichi, on the other hand, had full control over the power it had and could use it indefinitely, just at a weaker level than Izuku's own version of it.

As Fa Jin kicked in, his back began to glow red and emit little sparks while a halo of red light formed behind him. The halo of red light spun rapidly before expanding in size and easily becoming visible. With Fa Jin fully activated and Gearshift enhancing the speed of his blows, Kenichi started hammering at Nomu with far more powerful blows.

A deranged laugh echoed from the center of the plaza from near the fountain. Shigaraki was laughing at the display and decided to speak up and mock Kenichi, “Not bad kid! But do you honestly think you can stop Nomu?! He was designed to kill All might! NOMU! Stop playing around and kill that kid now!”

The massive beast let out a screeching roar and doubled its efforts to smash Kenichi into a red paste. Kenichi countered by increasing the speed and power of his own blows. His own regeneration was the only thing keeping his hands together as he slowly added more and more metal into them for reinforcement. He was forced to use Gearshift to his maximum to keep up with the sheer speed that the Nomu started to move at. It's strength hadn't actually increased by the new speed added additonal momentum to its blows making them even stronger.

Kenichi grit his teeth as Nomu began pushing him back. He wasn't afraid. So far he'd only used what, for him, would count as a minimal amount of power. However, it seemed like the time for holding back was over. He grit his teeth even tighter, fearing he might crack them, as he stopped holding back to enjoy himself and went fully on the offensive.

To do so he rapidly shapeshifted both of his arms from the elbows down into fleshy blades with the edges lined in high carbon steel. Thanks to his use of his sisters Quirk he didn't need to form the edges out of bone. He also switched the focus of Gearshift in that instant. Thanks to its evolution through One For All, it allowed him to do some very impressive things. In this case, it let him slow down Nomu to a crawl, even on the cellular level.

With a flash both of Nomu's arms were severed at the shoulder, Gearshift working on it's body to prevent his regeneration from fully kicking in. It still worked, just significantly more slowly. In the next moment there was another flash and Nomu collapsed to the ground, its legs severed just above the knees.

Silence filled the area as everything seemed to stop and stare at Kenichi and the downed Nomu. There fighting had been fast and loud drawing a lot of attention making the silence all the more defeaning. Added to that was the truly brutal fashion in which a prospective hero student had just literally disarmed his opponent.

The silence was finally broken by Shigaraki's laughter. His head was thrown back as he let out a truly deranged laugh. His laughter only stopped when he realized that the Nomu was still down on the ground and hadn't already regenerated from the debilitating wounds, “Oi! Nomu! Quit playing around, get up, and kill that fucking cheater!”

Kenichi shifted his arms back to normal, wincing at the sharp pain of his flesh and bones reforming, “He wont be getting up anytime soon, villain.”

Kenichi focused his eyes on Shigaraki as the red ring flowing behind him grew in intensity with more power being generated, “You're...”

Kenichi vanished from sight as he moved faster than an un-augmented human eye could track. The next moment he was in front of Shigaraki with his fist flashing through the air. Despite how durable he would become in the future, at this moment Shigaraki was hardly stronger than an average adult man. So, Kenichi held back significantly. Still, he used his speed to not only rip off every last hand that Shigaraki possessed, but landing a jaw shattering blow on the man-child's face.

Shigaraki was bodily lifted off of his feet and thrown back a meter or two by the blow. He landed hard, completely unconscious causing yet another silence to fall over the villains that remained conscious in the plaza. Kenichi turned and faced the remaining villains with his fist, covered in some of Shigaraki's blood, raised and his eyes narrowed and glowing, “Who's next?”

The villains that hadn't already been knocked unconscious by Aizawa glanced at each other before they all began raising their hands in surrender. Kenichi glanced at Aizawa and managed to catch the teacher smirking before he wiped it away and assumed a more neutral expression to address Kenichi, “It's not over yet, kid.”

They both turned at hearing a loud explosion coming from the lake within the building. A huge geyser of water was rising in the air before it fell back down and created a bit of a whirlpool. Aizawa sighed and shook his head, “Bunch of problem children.”

Before they could do much else the doors to the building were thrown open as teachers poured into the area. Simultaneously, students began to arrive at the plaza in small groups. Each having taken care of the villains within the areas they'd been sent to. From there it was mostly cleanup as the villains were all arrested and the students were guided outside where they could be observed and out of the way of operations.

As soon as he spotted her, Kenichi grabbed Momo and pulled her into a hug. Though the hug only lasted a brief moment before he held her at arms length and looked her over from head to toe. Aside from a couple scrapes and some small bruises, she was perfectly fine. So, he pulled her back into a tight hug, “I was so worried about you.”

He might have focused on Nomu and the fight, but deep inside he'd been worried about Momo. He knew she could take care of herself. The only villains that even stood a chance of hurting her had been Nomu and Kurogiri. She'd have slaughtered Shigaraki if the idiot had tried to get close to her. Nomu was just too fast and strong for her to deal with and Kurogiri could just portal anyone high in the air and let them drop. Anyone who couldn't fly would simply fall to their death. Portals are seriously OP.

It was nice to know that he now had Warp Gate all to himself. Not to mention the Quirks Nomu had along with Shigaraki's disintegration Quirk, Decay. Too bad the villain hadn't had All For one yet. Kenichi didn't really want the Quirk as he didn't need it to copy any Quirk he wanted. Despite not needing it to copy Quirks, he did want it for one very specific reason, so he could permanently strip Quirks from villains. All For One was the perfect counter to anything and everything the man with the same name could do. Just imagine how the old dude would react to his own Quirk being used to rob him of all his power.

Aside from Decay and Warp Gate, he now had a proper and much more powerful regeneration Quirk, one he planned to pass a copy of to Momo. Frankly, he was going to turn his little sister into an unstoppable being of power. All just so he'd never have to worry about her health and safety. Sometimes being an overprotective big brother was a good thing, in his opinion.

AN

Okay so, how did this turn out guys? I tried to show that Kenichi is strong, but he's not invincible, yet, and he definitely needs more experience. Does it look like I nerfed him? I tried not to do that, just had him hold back a bit at first to test himself so he knew where he stood. Remember, he hasn't come up against anyone nearly as strong as himself so he doesn't truly know where he stands. Once All Might Prime is back he'll have an excellent sparring partner to help him know his place better.

Just because he's as powerful as he is doesn't mean he's invincible just yet. Some villains definitely pose a threat to him still, One For All definitely being one of them. I think Overhaul would pose a threat to him too since he could near instantly completely disassemble Kenichi with a touch. Can't wait to get a copy of that Quirk! Seriously, the Overhaul Quirk is one of the most versatile and best in the series. Not just for combat either. Imagine the power it would have when used by a competent healer?!

That's off track, just let me know how this chapter turned out! Thanks!
