Exclusive #116 | Feelings Might Get Hurt | The Challenge: All Stars | S1E7

In my 7th Challenge All Stars Rant, I explain why Jisela has every right to be mad at Aneesa, why this season is rigged for The Triangle, why Big Easy deserves tons of credit, & why I'm so confused by the votes. Enjoy Patrons!

Cory & Darrell were supposed to be a team at some point?

Dave Smith

it was a work, not a shoot 😂😭

Its sad how she wants a win given to her lol

Dave Smith

Whitney Darrel and Cory were supposed to be on the show originally or still mercenaries? Lol either way Cory and Darrell wash everybody. Bananas always been scared of Darrell and so he always makes a truths with him, so I doubt he even thinks abt voting Cory and Darrell in

Also Derrick is a try hard which is a shame because he was very soft spoken in his earlier seasons.

Aneesa had a lot of flair at the beginning of her challenge career but now she’s a shadow of her self. This is definitely because she hasn’t won and is desperate for a win to the fact that she hopes that production just gives it to her so that she can Rest In Peace.

Yeah, a lot of people didn’t like the Invasion format because Champions had to go against Champions in elimination, and the same was true for the Challengers. I believe production set it up that way because they didn’t want the same situation as The Ruins when that Champions team easily trounced the Challengers because of how eliminations worked that season. Darrell has an interesting career on these shows. He wins his first 4 appearances, but had some luck on Fresh Meat because Evan and Coral had to leave due to injuries. Maybe he still wins that season but who knows. On The Ruins he had a cakewalk to a 5th win, but he beats up Brad and gets disqualified. Fresh Meat II is interesting too because even though we can argue now that Cara Maria is arguably pound for pound the best female competitor in Challenge history, Darrell made a mistake choosing her as a partner over Laurel. Laurel was far better during that obstacle course in the beginning over Cara, and Darrell should’ve ascertained that Laurel would be a safer pick in that scenario, Cara was the reason he went home because of her poor performance during that daily and elimination. Boggles my mind that Laurel and Kenny don’t win that season, but Landon was too damn good by himself. On Invasion, Darrell gets unlucky being the only male Champion to go into the Champion elimination round every time and loses to CT in a knot tying contest. Then, Cory screws him on Dirty 30 and Darrell loses a janky Redemption comp to Tony. Lastly, Darrell was Cory’s original partner for Final Reckoning, but things changed when Devin became Cory’s partner instead and was moved over from Bananas. Cory/Darrell probably win that season or at least give Hunter/Ashley a run for their money. Couple things swing to Darrell’s favor and he could have as many wins as Bananas.

Dave this rant was hilarious!!! I could not stop laughing 😂. Nehemiah was def pushed 💯... made no sense how Eazy washed two of the best players( but it does make sense if he fell on his sword to sabotage Kendall for production like you said🤔)

Darrell hasn't won a regular season since Fresh Meat, because he stopped doing the challenges for a long time. He only recently came back for Invasion of the Champions. They pretty much had to bring him back for that. The other champions were CT, Johnny Bananas, and Zach. He had to go into the elimination against all of them. They kept throwing him in. Since then, he has done a few more challenges, but MTV usually does not cast him. It's easier to cast other people, because they don't have to be paid as much. Even when he is casted, they try to get him out.

Double Agents deserves to be there 😂😭

As mentioned on the last All Stars review, I completed a watch/rewatch of all 36 seasons of The Challenge started during the pandemic last year. My goal was to get a better perspective on the older seasons and see how they compare to the modern seasons. Last week, I posted the Bottom Tier rankings of the show and explained my scoring system. Below are the Low Tier rankings of the show: 22. Battle of the Sexes 23. Battle of the Seasons (2012) 24. Double Agents 25. Extreme Challenge 26. Real World vs. Road Rules 27. Rivals III 28. Vendettas 29. Battle of the Sexes 2 30. Final Reckoning While the Bottom Tier seasons pretty much suffer from both a bad format and bad cast (Battle of the Bloodlines for example), for the most part the Low Tier seasons had the potential to get into the Middle Tier or Upper Tier. However, they either had a good cast and bad format (Battle of the Sexes 2) or a bad cast and good format (Seasons II). Seasons II in particular frustrated me because it had a unique format with 8 teams of 4 people (2 males and 2 females) with the teams representing different seasons of The Real World and 1 Fresh Meat team. The casting decisions that production made were really disappointing and brought that season down in my opinion. And let me say this: I know there is a sector of The Challenge fandom that loves Final Reckoning. I will admit that the cast on paper was good (especially all of the Big Brother players), but the format and editing of the season really hurt it overall even on a binge rewatch. It was really close to being a Bottom Tier season but just missed the cut. Up next will be the Middle Tier. I will say from that list on that every season listed are considered good seasons based on my scoring system. Let me know what you guys think.
