2024-10-18 17:04:16 +0000 UTCI find a bunch of this really well done, like the effects and zombie attacks. This is a movie that is fun to laugh and yell at. The third act of the plot is where is kinda falters. And apparently there was supposed to be a scene where Brad Pitt leads a group into battle. But then that was scrapped and then they went all the way back to the airplane and redid the whole thing. There are so many little things are so absurd but it's more of a lack of attention to detail. There is ZERO chance that a clean room containing vials of the most virulent strains of disease only has one airlock, one keypad, no PPE requirement and everything is in an unlocked cabinet. That's a bad production error where they probably couldn't get access to something that looked better. Why would they build up the virologist guy and then quickly kill him off? Why had no one in Israel figured out that zombies don't like noise yet they allow a rally with speakers? So it's the small details like those that pulled me out and prevented me from really enjoying it.

Have to just treat them different while having the same name. Both are realllllly good bit very different. The book is a lot of people's stories. Like the poor person up in the ISS. That is the one that stuck with me. Probably need to read it again to remember. Really don't know why they called this WWZ tho but oh well. This is one of my fave zombie movies.
