EDIT: Weirdly enough, I can't find Revenge of the Nerds anywhere at all; we'll jus t default to Good Morning Vietnam till I can actually find it; it's not streaming anywhere in Canada for us?? Sorry about this, but we'll find a way and make sure we do it sometime soon!

Really just movies in general since every movie death exists only to entertain you which is just as perverse. Revenge of the nerds also degrades the entire male sex. These really stupid complaints are everywhere if you want to do this.

2024-12-01 14:58:28 +0000 UTCFast Times at Ridgemont High still definitely holds up. True story about high school kids circa 1980-ish. Another fun comedy is the western 'Maverick' from 1994 with Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster, directed by Richard Donner, who also did the Lethal Weapon films.

I went with Fletch because it's a great movie I've long recommended that rarely gets reacted to. Nerds is pretty much in the same boat as well.

It’s deceit and non-consensual because of that deceit he deliberately goes into the building, wearing the same costume as the boyfriend and has oral sex with her before revealing who he really is and then she chooses whether or not to continue. So it’s bad, but I have issues with people who call it rape because as a child of the 80s him asking again about the intercourse after revealing his full identity doesn’t hit me as rape but yes, it’s deceit and coercion otherwise. Not saying it’s ok.

It’s a shining moment for Robin Williams, that solidified his ability to carry a movie as more than just a comedic actor(Best actor Oscar nominee). However, while it is funny, it’s not a pure comedy either and definitely has some serious dramatic moments. Still, it’s the best of all these movies, so I’m still going for it.
