unfortunately so...for me personally, NGS has nowhere near the immediate charm of base, and the last minute references to base didn't really do it for me. i had hope some time ago that they would miraculously pull it together but they didn't before they ended the story arc :P i still hope they'll do better with the next arc, but it's somewhat unlikely...
