Fashion designer and naturist model Lara Bran, who has a degree in fashion design and textiles, has produced a range of macramé designs with accessories that are unique, very stylish, and that fit in with the naturist ethic. The naturist love of body painting, the colourful art form that enhances the body’s shape with unique designs, is well represented in naturist journals.

Body painting on the blank canvas of a naked body, both with male and female naturists, is quite common, and with the addition of small textile coverings in the right places it can be seen at festivals and gigs all over the planet.

Lara’s unique macramé designs could be classed as a form of bodyart, as it decorates the body, giving not only eye-catching shape and colour, but 3D texture to the wearer.

In her garden, Lara modelled her latest creations – with that naturist twist. A few red strands of string dangling from that lightest of designs floated in the south Pembroke breeze, an accessory to enhance any evening event whether naturist or textile. A lightweight black number radiated its strings when twirled by this Hungarian- born designer, as she stood high on some steps in her secluded garden.

Her macramé accessories range from headbands and earrings, through to bracelets, necklaces and belts, which are the ultimate naturist accessory. The knotted pieces are in many colours, of which her favourites are red and black.

Lara’s skills don’t just encompass clothing, as she has used her talents to make a woven willow shelter in her garden, where the intricacies of the string designs blend with the willow in a natural harmony.
