Watching this a month later since now I have the time post worlds lol (had to catch up with a lot) and love how on a face value, even after some regionals, most of this is still true and can be used as a basis to build some sort of balance

2024-09-26 13:34:57 +0000 UTCI'm in a similar boat, while I like the change and being able to use the likes of H-typhlosion and gengar to good success is fun, the lower power level formats are usually so open, you have to account for dondozo, psyspam (now with ursaluna and lilKoal improved), rain is probably the best it can ever be outside of a restricted format, HO spread spam (gholdy, BMursa, H-typhlosion), mausape. Plus random stuff you never dream off. It makes it so much harder to prepare and cover for, incineroar would be a good psyspam answer but now armarouge gets meteor beam and ursalunas are a thing. The format, even when it centralises, will still be more broad and while that is fun in some sense it's a pain to prepare for and team build around

Or just anything but Pikalytics lol, not only is the data wrong but it’s boring to look at and doesn’t track with what you’re talking about half the time. Excited to see how this meta evolves! I could see Primarina going from a dondozo answer to a water/fairy sweeper. I don’t think enough people use it offensively to its full potential.

2024-08-29 23:34:58 +0000 UTCYes, I think all the Regulation H data there in Pikalytics is old. MunchStats is supposed to be more up-to-date and even it seems to have the same data. (I guess limited data is another thing about early formats?) I imagine new data will come out once August ends that will better align with what's currently going on.

2024-08-29 23:06:12 +0000 UTCAs someone who is not necessarily excited for regulation H, I am happy there is this kind of video so I can at least learn everything from the starting line and still play even if I’m not the biggest on it. Especially since my girlfriend really seems excited for it so I want to be able to help her in anyway I can!
