2025-10-24 04:22:40 +0000 UTCShouldn't you have protected when Koraidon is encored+disabled, so that you do not get 1 out of the 2 struggle damages? *Technically*, thought it may not matter.

2025-10-09 13:55:33 +0000 UTCJust chiming in to say that this was really great and I’d be happy to see more like it (including more replay reviews) whether here or on BonusWolfe.

2025-05-02 05:22:12 +0000 UTCI reccomend analyzing when you play and lose. If you feel like there’s a move you could have clicked, an ability you could have activated or a pokemon you could have switched, that means your team did have the tools to win, but you just couldn’t act on it. If it really felt like absolutely nothing could be done, you need to ask yourself if the team that gives you an auto loss matchup is a common one like calyrex ice trickroom, or something like max speed calyrex ice and tailwind, which you won’t be playing much against anyways. If you don’t have the tools to win against common meta matchups, that’s when you know that the team needs more time in the oven.

2025-03-31 06:22:12 +0000 UTCMaybe you can try one of the rentals here? https://victoryroad.pro/sv-rental-teams/ It has Luca's worlds winning team on here and I feel like it's pretty intuitive (although maybe it's just my play style). You also have some other teams I think are intuitive so maybe you can try one of those. There's a ton of options, so feel free to try any of them! You have the pokepaste so they can be added to showdown if that's your preferred way of playing. Also, some of them have a link to a team report so you can read up on what the idea was for each Pokemon. Hope this helps

2025-03-21 13:13:30 +0000 UTCGreat video! I think maybe too heady for the casual YouTube audience but I did like the “spot the play!” idea for a possible future Patreon video!

2025-03-20 00:08:39 +0000 UTCJust a thought that came to me during the section where you were doing the replay review. I think having a one-off or sub-series of "Can you spot the correct move?" would be interesting. It could be similar to people practicing chess where they need to find checkmate. Since you or other people have called Pokemon "Chess with Rock-Paper-Scissors", it could be a fun little exercise. I just don't know how much more work that would be for you.

2025-03-17 05:06:52 +0000 UTCHello Wolfe! I got scarlet in July after I started watching your videos. It was also my first time playing competitively and I really liked it. I finally joined the channel and am wondering how to join your discord

2025-03-17 04:48:31 +0000 UTCi think this could help so many peolpe with becoming better at the game so i think you should post it on bonuswolfe for sure

2025-03-16 20:12:33 +0000 UTCHi Wolfe, hope your well! I’m new to your channel as I wanted to get back into Pokémon after 10 years. In regards to practicing, what is like a basic/training team I could use to start learning competitive plays? I think trying to learn straight away with one of your winning teams might be too difficult at the moment.

2025-03-15 16:45:51 +0000 UTCCool video- especially the replay review; personally I would love to see a full video of that sort of format- either "can you spot the right play" of a bunch of your games, or maybe you can have viewers submit some replays and pick some interesting ones to review? I do agree though it is a bit complex for the average youtube viewer.. would be sick as a patreon monthly though!

2025-03-13 19:32:33 +0000 UTCFantastic wideo, I really learned a ton! I think that if you want to upload something to Bonus Wolfe, you could totally upload just the portion of the video where you reviewed the endgame of the GC match. This way you would both be giving some Bonus Wolfe content, giving them a taste of the Patreon videos, and it would be the exact kind of content that you said an average audience would have a hard time with, but for the bonus Wolfe audience it should be perfect! I also think you *could* do a "spot the right play" series just with much simpler situations.

2025-03-13 16:24:40 +0000 UTCThis is one of the best vids I’ve seen so far on the patreon, echoing what someone else said. I enjoy most things you put out but having this structure is *so* nice for absorption. Sometimes, and this isn’t a dig because I do it too, if you’re trying to stay on track while opening a bunch of tabs on your browser and losing track of a point or whatnot it’s *very* hard to follow. This format is still simple but it offers so much more direction for the viewer and it seems like yourself as well. Would love to see more of it.

2025-03-13 06:46:34 +0000 UTCThis is by far one of the best videos on the patreon so far. I just managed to get my 2nd day 2 ever at EUIC but have been feeling as though I've been a bit stuck with improving atm. Some of these topics are things I had started doing a bit ago but having them broken down and explained like this will make it much easier to do them intentionally and be better organized with my practicing! I'm very excited to do some intentional practice!

2025-03-13 03:34:17 +0000 UTCIf you're using slides please can you use a cream or pastel coloured background jnstead of white. It makes a huge difference for people with learning difficulties like dyslexia. Loved the wideo though thank you!

2025-03-13 02:45:15 +0000 UTCThank you very much! I am going to Atlanta for my first regional and this was really helpful. I wanted to ask, how do you know what Pokémon to play battles against in your head? Like for Big 6 it makes sense, but for Reg G let's say I think my Ice-Rider matchup is bad. How do you know what possible partners and lead combinations to watch out for? Is that part of the foundational knowledge you brought up at the beginning? Does this apply when the format changes? Regardless, really high quality content!

2025-03-13 02:00:33 +0000 UTCI'm the "you just need to play more" person mentioned at the beginning of this wideo, but I chose not to listen and watched the whole thing anyway, and holy batman I think this is maybe the best Wolfey wideo of all time. I learned so much about not only pokemon but also myself. For instance, I don't know if I frankly feel cognitively capable of playing a whole match in my head...frankly even barely a turn, to say nothing of not having enough game knowledge memorized. I don't know how to get better at this, but now I know what I need to work on :3 suffice it to say I liked the PowerPoint format as well
ArinInQuotes
2025-03-13 01:27:42 +0000 UTC“Can you spot the right play” would make a good short video, and then with shorts extended time you can have a bit of after explaining it, tell em to comment, that way you get the interactions from the comments, and due to shorts no longer being only 60 seconds you can have enough time to explain as people are really invested in finding out the answer. It may be better to go for simpler but still complex turns at first and maybe make a theme of difficulty
