Poll: Change Membership Charge Date?
Added 2024-04-04 21:13:37 +0000 UTCPatreon gave creators the ability to charge patrons for one month starting the day they join instead of being charged at the beginning of the month.
This is great for new members as a new patron who joins on the 25th will only get charged on the 25th of every month instead of being charged on the 25th AND on the 1st of the next month.
The downside is that it means that all patrons will have to keep track of when they joined to find out when they'll be charged.
So with that said, should I change it to where members are charged based on the day they join or should we keep it at the beginning of each month? If I do change the setting then we can't go back; all current patrons will have their charge date set as the 1st of each month.

I'd say have it be on the day they joined instead of on the first. A few of other Paterons I follow have it on the day they subscribed, and it's actually pretty easy for me to keep track of. Instead of it being one lump sum, it can be spread out over time, which I feel works for me, since I get paid at different times during the month, and for you because you're getting money at guaranteed dates instead all at once.
