........ choices were made, stupid fun was had, nobody ended up in the pokey๐. The night ended on a high note as we celebrated our last night all together as a Picker family in Delaware. Robbie took us all out for dinner and drinks. He showered us with love โค๏ธ The love was real and we shared as much of it as possible as our trip comes to an end.
This is the least incriminating photo I can show๐ฌ
I love my family, life, job and adventures. Iโm thankful. Every day, even on the hard days, Iโm thankful for these humans.
Iโm paying for my choices today, as I should๐ฅด๐ Thatโs all I can say. Today we film our last pick of this block. Tomorrow I have to film pick ups and get my Covid nose swab so I can board the flight to PR knowing Iโm Covid free (I took a spit test yesterday as well).
I pack to head home to the island at 8am Friday morning. I canโt wait to lay in bed naked quarantining all day with my king, watch movies, spoil my small petting zoo of fur babies, and jump in the ocean ๐
but first thing when I land I take yet another spit test and quarantine 48 hours till the results come back. No socialization for me till I know Iโve not brought germs home. By the time itโs all said and done, In 2 weeks I will have taken 7 Covid tests.
You canโt be too careful! I have done my best to make sure that I maintain 6 feet distance, wear a mask at all times unless Iโm filming or eating, and to wash my hands every half hour or at every opportunity where thereโs a sink. Iโve scrubbed every surface of each of the 10 hotel rooms we stayed with Lysol and soap and water upon entry, scrubbed them down again upon exit, Iโve realized how nasty hotels are. But Iโm trying not to think about it because I need to keep my head in the game until this block is over. And Iโm happy to say that each of the four Covid tests I have taken have come back negative. I feel like I am being as careful as I can possibly be out here on the road for myself and for everyone around me. I have realized that people in the states donโt like to wear facemasks. That scares me a little bit. Iโve also had the opportunity to remind myself of how beautiful this country is.
Wear your masks, I love you and want you to be safe๐
I hear the hurricane will make landfall as a cat 4. Thatโs a very serious situation. My heart is with everyone on the Gulf coast. Especially NOLA, we know how forgotten you were during Katrina and in Houston, where my daughter just landed for work. Fortunately she is with family. Iโm actually praying, not sure to whome yet but Iโm saying them prayers.
I was hoping the direct hit we got in PR as a tropical storm would have broken it up more. Please be safe! Head to higher ground and hunker down with your loved ones till it passes. Donโt go outside to check it out, thatโs how folks get hurt. Think positive, send your intentions out into the atmosphere. I canโt hurt. My heart is with you๐
